The Buckroe Boys Strike Again

Our second trip to this rental for our fishing trip and while the fish weren't biting we had a great time staying at this home. Very clean, location is awesome and the communication was great.

Nice house close to quiet beaches

Spacious house and nicely decorated. Abundant towels which meant enough for everyone and not having to do laundry. Beaches were not crowded with free parking. Had to drive to beach, but not far. Less congested than more popular areas. A good value.

Beautiful house

We were pleasantly surprised at how large and open the house is. Everything you need to make you stay comfortable was supplied. There was a very large kitchen area with a table for breakfast and a dinning table for dinner. We all had plenty of room so we weren't under each other's feet. There were lots of fluffy towels. The bed were very comfortable. There was a TV in each bedroom streaming ready. It house is a few blocks from the beach, close to dinning, attractions. Phoebus is a cute little destination place. Wish I had more time spend there. The host were very quick to reply to my one question question.within minutes. This is place to stay if your going to be in Buckroe/ Hampton area.

Lovely home

Amazing Stay

Our stay at this property was amazing! The hosts really took the surroundings into account, having everything on the property from games and playing cards to bikes and beach equipment. They were very inviting and proactive about anything they felt we should know. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose.

Quilting Retreat

The house is beautifully decorated. We had plenty of space for socializing, quilting/sewing, eating meals, and sleeping. The neighborhood was quiet. The location was great for confidence to the Coliseum. It could have been cleaner — especially with Covid concerns. Examples: crumbs under sofa cushions, dishes in cabinets with food stuck to it, hair in bathroom. The bedding smelled clean and the furniture surfaces were clean. I would consider renting this house again for a retreat with friends.

Great book club destination

We converged from New Jersey, Georgia and Kansas and Newport News at about the same time. More than enough room for the 5 of us. VERY clean, plenty of towels, first class bed linens and overall a great layout. We enjoyed morning coffee and afternoon cocktails on the patio - which gave us even more room to enjoy. WiFi good and strong and more TVs than a sports bar. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg area. Top of my list for any return trip. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Cozy Home

The 4 of us who stayed were very happy with the property. The location was perfect for trying to get to Buckroe Beach and the Ocean View Pier for fishing. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. There were adequate delivery options and a grocery store nearby. The backyard was a nice spot to hangout outside. Would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable

We really enjoyed this very comfortable, well appointed 4 bedroom home. Just a very short drive to the beach, or you could also use the bicycles provided. Really nice and convenient having beach chairs for the adults and toys for the kids to use, in addition to all the other amenities. Terry and Doug are wonderful hosts. They responded quickly to the couple questions we asked. If we ever needed a place to stay again in the Hampton area, we’d grab this place in a heart beat if it’s available.

Another wonderful stay

We had another wonderful visit at Tery and Doug's place. It is just a short distance from the beach and a perfect getaway. Our family finds the house to be a cozy retreat with just enough space for our group of 8. The house is well stocked and always has a few little surprises waiting for us upon arrival. We always have a wonderful time!! ❤

Wonderful stay!

We couldn’t have been happier staying at this beautiful house. The pictures really don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful! It’s so cozy and you are greeted with snacks and fresh flowers on the table. We loved that the house was stocked with everything you need, and that it was so close to the local beach. It was so peaceful there and not a lot of people. Tery was great! She always responded my messages quickly and was very nice. We will definitely be booking again!

I could not ask for more!!

This place exceeded all of our expectations!! It was extremely comfortable. From the decorating style to the beds, bedding and even the amazing water pressure. It was just a fabulous home. We were in the area for a wedding. The home came stocked with everything (and more) we needed for hosting our other family in the area. Punch bowl, serving dishes etc. (even poker chips haha) The beach was close by, and the house had beach bags, sand toys, and beach chairs. There were So many towels, extra bedding. Just anything you might need, you can tell they really try to make it available. They were very quick to respond. Best VRBO I’ve ever stayed at, hands down. Thank you so much for letting us stay there! We will be back!

Adorable Home and Close to the Beach

Tery was such a gracious host! She always answered questions promptly and kindly. She was incredibly easy to worn with! The house is adorable! Very clean and loaded with fun for the beach and indoor games. The bedrooms comfortably slept everyone and were so cute! The walk to the beach is a bit long, but my mom and I did it just fine. The shed has lots of bikes and fun things to take the beach, if walking a mile was not on your list of things to do that day.

Perfect house

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! The house had everything we needed and more. It was so convenient that the house came with beach stuff and we loved the goodie bag, it really shows that the owners really put a lot of thought for the guests. Perfect pre-wedding stay!

This house was absolutely perfect for my bridesmaids and I to stay and get ready before my wedding!! It was clean, spacious, and just beautiful for pictures! The hosts were so wonderful, they even left us with a little congratulatory gift of champagne and chocolates! The beds were even super comfortable, which helped with a great night’s sleep before the big day! Our favorite part was the giant hydrangea bush/tree that was in the backyard - just beautiful!! Thank you so much for being so accommodating, and being such a wonderful host! You helped make our wedding weekend that much more enjoyable!

Bike to the Beach

Beautifully decorated, spacious house not far from the Beach or downtown Hampton. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners were always quick to respond to our questions.
