Beskrivning - 6 sovplatser (K, F, 2T) ………… .. Komberad i Shanty Springs är denna stuga en härlig plats för dig och din familj att bo och komma bort från allt! Denna stuga ligger på en höjd av 4000 ft och backar upp till Grandfather Mountain och Shanty Springs Creek. Dra ut och njut av naturen med bäcken och eldstaden i ryggen och tillgång till Grandfather Mountain Profile Trail och några av de mest underbara vandringarna i High Country. Eller stanna inomhus för att koppla av och njuta av denna pittoreska, barnvänliga stuga. På bottenvåningen finns kök, matsal, frukostkrog, ½ badrum och vardagsrum medan övervåningen har 3 sovrum och två badrum. Vardagsrummet är mysigt med en vedeldad spis, katedralen tak och en platt-TV. Köket är fullt utrustat för att förbereda en måltid och har uppdaterats med nya apparater. Eller laga din måltid utanför på kolgrillen och ha s'mores vid eldstaden till efterrätt. Det stora sovrummet är rymligt med en king size-säng och privat badrum. De andra två sovrummen har en fullstor säng och två tvillingar och delar badrum. Ta med dina barn och njut av användning av barnstolen, pack n play, två grindar, plastkoppar / skålar, spel (entréskåp) och naturligtvis utomhus.
Plats…………. Denna stuga ligger centralt till Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis och Blowing Rock i Foscoe-området. Det ligger faktiskt precis i Seven Devil's på samma berg som Hawksnest Snow Tubing och Zip line. Det bekväma läget gör det bara några minuter från alla Highlands mest berömda attraktioner som Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls och Caverns och Appalachian State University. Om du letar efter vintersport finns det flera olika alternativ från Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort och Appalachian Ski Resort. Koppla av och njut av den låga takten i bergen och den friska luften eller var äventyrlig och gå på vandring, fiske, cykling eller sightseeing. Några andra saker som människor gillar är shopping, antikviteter, skidåkning, golf och minigolf, zip-foder, go-carts och gem gruvdrift.

Clean home, with nice living areas and bedrooms. Perfect for our weekend ski trip. Close to Sugar Mountain and Boone.

Great stay

We did a ski weekend at sugar mountain and had a fantastic time! The house was very clean and cozy and a perfect size for 8 people. They are not lying when they say only 4 wheel drive cars in the winter. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful with flowing water sounds. Loved everything about this property. Will be staying again!

Innacurate listing cleanliness is not a priority.

The online portion is only somewhat accurate. While there is no ac the ad listed fans which this property did not have. Additionally, there were what we assume are rat droppings in each of the beds and on the floor. I can imagine this house is not rented often during the summer but this was less than desirable.

Sweet Retreat by a babbling creek

Comfortable cabin in the woods- private and backs up onto a rocky creek that gives you a lovely background sound of nature. This house needs ceiling fans as there is no air conditioning and in July it was hot at the end of the day. Many window have no hand cranks so you cannot open all the windows to get a cross draft. Lovely cabin in a tranquil spot.

Great place to stay for a vacation in the mountains

This place was awesome. The location with the river running through the backyard was fantastic. It seems that the owners thought of everything. All switches were nicely labeled, instructions for various things were placed appropriately. You have everything you need here! We used the BBQ grill to cook some rainbow trout that we caught. We had a fire in the fire pit almost every night as well. Sleeping to the sound of the running river was awesome. Plenty of room for our whole family of 5. Check-in and out was as easy as can be with the property management company right down the street. We saw deer roaming about almost every day in and out of the area. Nice central location to tons of things to do, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. No issues at all. Kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances. Garage for the car was a bonus too! Overall great experience. Thanks again!

Lovely weekend getaway

We enjoyed a weekend in this beautiful spot with a roaring creek behind the house and the setting in quiet woodsy neighborhood. The house is well equipped and comfortable, welcoming for children and pets. While it feels remote, it's an easy drive to Blowing Rock, Boone, and Banner Elk. Just note that the house has dampness with some odor and smells like there may have been smoking in the house at some point. Still, we loved our stay!

Loved Our Stay

Nothing fancy, but warm, cozy and inviting. In fact, we returned to stay twice in October! Loved the fact that we were able to bring along the dogs. Few things to note: Bathooms are tight, space between toilets and bathtub. (And we're pretty small folks!) There are both a Keurig and auto drip coffee maker, (when I called Foscoe, rental agency, they said there wasn't a Keurig.) There's only a charcoal grill so bring your own charcoal. They have lighters there. Many games, were fun! Many windows are not operable, don't crank out. This last trip we didn't care, but one before, it was warm and would've liked fresh air as entire house, with exception of kitchen and bath, is WTW carpeting. For age of home, was in fine shape and pretty clean. We'll we back again!

Not worth it

The carpet was very dirty. When I mentioned it to the Foscoe Realty rep she said the spring cleaning of the carpets has not yet happened. No apology, just that's the way it is. I also mentioned the somkey smell in the unit. She said all the houses with wood burning fireplaces smell like that. To bad, live with it.

We loved our stay at 44 Shanty Springs The house have everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as your own house. The creek behind the cabin it is amazing, I loved it The houses are far apart enough for peace and quiet, the only thing I heard was the creek and the birds Enough restaurants and supermarkets to meet all your needs

The property was great. The check in process was somewhat confusing. Never received my check in email. First property was not up to standards. Called management and they were able to find us another property. Which was very accommodating.

We drove all the way from Miami to find peace and quiet in this beautiful cabin! Very clean, nice, homey, cuddly! The sound of the little river in the back was the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend 10/10. Thank you for the opportunity and for sharing your place!!!

Shanty Creek excellent

The property was clean, comfortable, and particularly covenient to Banner Elk (except for road construction along the route) and Boone. Shanty Creek itself was a highlight and made for wonderful sleeping to the sound of the creek rushing over the rocks right outside.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the location. The description was very accurate. The property is in good location and has a small stream and waterfall right behind the property you can hear at all times. The cabin could use the carpet cleaned down stairs was my only issue. Overall all we enjoyed our stay.

River cabin

Our family enjoyed the permanent river sound tremendously; the children played in the river; we went on the profile trail twice; well return in the Fall.
