Sovande två personer i HUVUDHUSET, med alternativet ytterligare en eller två i den bifogade studien, är Shu Shu ett vackert renoverat stenhus i byn Magazia med moderna inredningar som ligger i stora muromgärdade trädgårdar i Oleander, Bougainvillea, och olivträd. En radhus del av trädgården leder till poolterrassen, förbises av citrusträd och datum palmer. Det finns 2 yttre matsal terrasser - en kantad av lila och crimson bougainvillea, jakaranda och jasmin, som ser ut över dalar olivträd och cypresser (inga andra hus i sikte) med glimtar av havet på Paxos "västkust. Den nedre matsal terrass är skuggad av en stor vinstock täckt pergola.

Inuti är en bekväm och mycket snyggt inredda och möblerade öppen planlösning sittande / matsal med valv till separat kök. En samtida kök har en induktionshäll, ugn, kyl och frys, brödrost, vattenkokare, cafetière och omfattande utbud av redskap.

Rymligt sovrum i huvudbyggnaden med dubbla mässingsängar och luftkonditionering. Studio badrum sovrummet har två enkelsängar och luftkonditionering. Two weeks in the Garden of Eden

We just returned from Paxos a few days ago. Shu Shu is a charming place, and we felt at home from the first moment. We had wonderful two weeks full of sun, peace, friendly people, good meals and awful wine. Everything was perfect, nothing to complain. It was our first time on Paxos, and the owner gave us a lot of help, tips and recommendations.

The perfect place to stay on Paxos.

We love staying at Shu Shu on the beautiful island of Paxos. It has everything you need inside and outside for a relaxed comfortable holiday. Plenty of choice for sunshine and shade in the beautiful gardens and terraces and attractive well maintained ‘home from home’ interiors. We’ve stayed a couple of times now and on our first visit to Shu Shu and Paxos the owners were so helpful with advice on transfers and general information, it was like having a personal travel agent! And once there the house manager is a phone call away just in case any other help is needed. Perfect!

Charming

Absolutely charming. What more can I say? This was the most peaceful and relaxing holiday we have ever had. Beautiful gardens, clean, well-equipped villa and a very helpful house manager, Adam. I recommend getting about on a scooter and hiring a boat to visit some of the lovely coves with their clear, aqua-marine water. There are plenty of grocery stores and several within a 15 minute walk. I would love to stay again!

Perfect island retreat

We have visited Paxos many times over the last 25 years, staying in a variety of villas around the island. In the past we never returned to the same accommodation, but having stayed in Shu Shu for the first time two years ago there was only one place we considered for our return holiday this year. We weren't disappointed! Walking through the garden gates, Shu Shu was every bit as beautiful as we remembered. The villa is situated in a peaceful olive grove, is exquisitely maintained and provides everything necessary for a comfortable stay. However, it is the garden and pool area that make Shu Shu so special. The walled garden is a delight, and when we visited in May we had the added bonus of it being lit up by fireflies each evening. Idyllic! If you manage to tear yourself away from the villa, its central location make it an ideal base from which to explore the island. Many thanks to the Owners for all of your advice and assistance with the travel arrangements; your local knowledge was invaluable. We will certainly be visiting again in the not too distant future!

Beautiful villa on beautiful Paxos

Suffering from post holiday blues having spent a week at the beautiful Shu Shu. Everything we hoped for and more! Our friends used the very attractive and spacious en-suite Studio which they loved. When we weren't out and about exploring the perfect island of Paxos, it was great to spend a couple of days just relaxing and being 'at home' at Shu Shu enjoying the pool and privacy of the large walled garden. Gorgeous! Owner's provided huge amounts of information prior to the trip and Alex, the house manager, was really nice and helpful whilst we were there.

An absolute gem nested in the olive groves....

Shu Shu is a very private and tranquil gem nestled in olive groves with distant sea views. Encased in stone walls, it is like stepping into Pandora’s Box when you open the gates onto this well arranged and maintained hideaway. Having visited Paxos many years before, we were delighted to find how unspoilt the island remains. Our excursions into the wonderful Loggos, Lakka and Gaois and our dining at the excellent, Vassilis and others were made all the more pleasurable by then being able to retreat to the calm of Shu Shu for an afternoon dip, stretching out in the sun… and maybe a snooze! Shu Shu is beautifully but simply equipped with stylish furnishings and all one needs for self catering and enjoying breakfast, lunch or supper on the shady terrace. We hired a car for the first week and decided on a more leisurely approach for the second week so Alex, the house manager, introduced us to Tassos's taxi who we called as and when we felt like an excursion or needed to top up the wine cellar! Turned out to be quite an economic way of getting around as Shu Shu’s very central location meant that no where was much more than 15 minutes away. We will definitely return to Paxos in the next couple of years and we would not consider staying anywhere other than Shu Shu… It was perfect in every way.

Another perfect holiday at Shu Shu

Recently returned from our second stay at Shu Shu and once again had a wonderful time. A beautiful, quiet location. The house has everything you need – well looked after and very comfortable. And if you don’t want to eat out all the time the kitchen is modern and well equipped. Comfortable garden furniture and sun loungers and plenty of places in the large garden to find sun or shade under the Olive trees and Oleander. Having been before we were familiar with Paxos but again the Owners were extremely helpful beforehand advising on transfers from Corfu, car hire and taxis and where to stay on Corfu if you want to stop over en route. Alex the house manager was on hand and easy to contact to help with any other advice and assistance, such as when we wanted to hire a scooter for a couple of days. Looking forward to our third visit!

Perfect Escape!

As soon as you open the big wooden gates you can see you have found a little piece of paradise. Extremely private, very quiet, with beautiful views - you can see the sea! Great location too, although there is a bus service, we would recommend a car to see as much as possible but really centrally positioned. The owner was really helpful, answering all our questions and advising on the ferry and car hire - nothing too much trouble. The property was clean and well maintained and well equipped. We would highly recommend a boat to anti Paxos, it is absolutely amazing! We loved Gaios too, lots of restaurants to choose from although did struggle for vegetarian meals - not much variety. We would love to return to this lovely villa some time in the future.
