The Lookout är en lyx South Devon stuga i Broad, Torbay. Fastigheten har totalrenoverats i april 2014 till en mycket hög standard. Det är en fantastisk tre sovrum bungalow med utsikt över den blueflag Broad stranden & Torbay. Det erbjuder den perfekta självhushåll semester boende för större familjesemester eller två par delning. Huset kan bekvämt sover 4 vuxna och 2 barn och inkluderar alla moderna bekvämligheter, inklusive kompletterande wi-fi. Broad Stranden är lätt närmade (500m) ner en offentlig gångväg som leder från vägen ovanför stranden. Med fantastisk kust utsikt från vardagsrummet och uppvuxen smycka, det är också en idealisk plats att sitta och titta på ångtåg går av eller ta sig längre bort till Brixham, Dartmouth eller South Hams.

Great location and views. Downside had to clean on arrival and property looking a bit tired.

Location and views are great. Beds were comfy. Parked on road as drive is steep. We understand property is up for sale and perhaps this is why it is in need of a little TLC. Did not know this at time of booking.

First family holiday for our grandson

I booked the place because it provided the space for 4 adults, a 6 month baby and a dog. It was great. We had an enclosed garden for the dog and a bath, washer, microwave etc for the baby. The beach(sandy) was 10 mins pushchair walk away and a steam train passing for the oldies.

Great house in a great location

The house was fantastic, had everything you needed for a self catering break. Close to 2 beaches (1 dog friendly) and a short drive to Paignton/Brixham.

Great Family Break

The Lookout was the ideal place to visit with the family. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms gave us plenty of space. The view was as good as ever, this was our second visit. Even the weather was good for the end of October! I hope we will be able to stay again.

The Duffy's +1 and Rumble the Dog

Lovely modern bungalow with a beautiful view over the bay. Comfortable and everything you need. The beach is just a 10 min walk away with a lovely cafe. Weather was really kind to us also.

Quiet and Comfortable

The listing is accurate. Ideal location if you have a car. In a calm and quiet neighbourhood The host provided two large complementary bottled of water and a small jug of milk. The kitchen is well equipped and nicely organised. Beautiful view out of the living room and dining area. The property manager was very responsive when we had questions.

Redundant holiday

The bungalow was fantastic. The view was amazing. I feel the only thing letting it down was that there was no blind's or curtains in the lounge or kitchen.

Lovely

Had a great stay. Property was clean and had everything we needed. Please note that there are no curtains on the back of the house - we were woken up early by the gardener who then stayed 2 hours and he could see straight into the property at us all. The milk on arrival was a lovely touch. Thank you and we will not hesitate to book again should we be in the area.

Nice stay but with problems

Looks very sad and unkempt on arrival. The gardens are totally overgrown and uncared for. The bedroom curtains are torn and discoloured. We arrived and the property had not been cleaned, dirty bedding still on bed's. My wife had to contact the cleaners, who came and did the cleaning, but it was well after six o clock before we could settle in. The property needs some TLC, it could be lovely if cared for a bit more, but as the property is up for sale I don’t suppose they are bothered. One of the biggest things that annoyed us was the fact that the whole area has cryptosporidium in the water, which made the stay very difficult, as you can’t use the water for cooking, drinking or cleaning teeth. We had to find water distribution places to get bottled water. This is no fun on holiday. We were not informed of this and only found out by looking for a contact number because of the cleaning, we could have easily drunk the water before knowing it was infected!

Super Lage- Sauberkeit nur mittelmäßig

Die Lagebist ein Traum mit Blick auf die Bucht, ruhiges Wohngebiet und in 6min zu Fuß unten an der Bucht. Leider war die Sauberkeit nur mittelmäßig: Schlafzimmer und Bäder waren top, aber das Wohnzimmer war nicht gesaugt, alte Keksreste neben dem Mülleimer, Sitzkissen am Esstisch waren von beiden Seiten verdreckt und viele Spinnweben. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet.mit viel Geschirr

Séjour dans le Devon

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison. L'emplacement est très calme et agréable. La vue sur mer est vraiment un grand plus ! En outre, l'agencement des différentes pièces est bien étudiée : un espace vie et un espace nuit bien distincts. L'équipe de dépannage à laquelle nous avons dû nous adresser pour un problème de TV est intervenue très rapidement. Bref, nous reviendrons sans problème.

Beautiful place

It is a beautiful bungalow and suited our needs perfectly for my husband, mother who is 88 and myself. Beautiful views, warm and cosy, comfortable beds and lovely shower. The only snag was three steep steps leading up to the bungalow and steep driveway if someone had a mobility problem. But we loved it.

Beautiful home from home

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. The house is well equipped with everything you need. The house is in a great location with easy access to some of Devon’s prime locations by car and broad sands beach and elderberry cove in a short walking distance. It would have been the icing on the cake if there had been a nice pub in walking distance too but all in all we had a great time and would definitely come back!

Highly recommend location and property

Perfect location, local beach within 5 mins with restaurants/cafes and very clean toilet facilities. Added extra of seeing the steam train everyday go past, we dashed out at the sound of the toot toot! Property is well laid out, bedrooms are separated from main living space by a door that once closed no one is disturbed. High standard of accommodation, ideal for families with outdoor garden space and inroad parking. We had a problem with the dishwasher which was resolved in under 24 hours at no disruption to us. Would recommend and hope to visit again!

We are a family of 5 and have owned the Lookout since 2013 and totally refurbishing it in 2014. We make several visits each year. Our young children love Broadsands beach, crabbing in nearby Stoke Gabriel and all the local activities in Torbay and we love the South Devon Coastal path and visiting the villages and resorts in The South Hams.
