Modern holiday annex in the village of Ashurst on the edge of the beautiful New Forest, ideal for cycling, walking, and exploring. Close to the historic port of Southampton, great for an overnight stay before setting off on a cruise. Sleeping 2 people the annex has a bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom, and comfy living area with all amenities. Within walking distance to pubs, restaurants, local shops, & station. Guests provided with tea, coffee and milk, and bottled water on arrival.

The Annex is self contained and separate from the main property.

The Little Oak is 10 minute walk from Ashurst mainline station with direct links to London Waterloo, Bournemouth, Weymouth, and Poole. Bus connections are available to Southampton and Lymington via Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst. Bus stops are directly outside the property on the main road.

We had a wonderful holiday. Very comfortable with everything you could wish for..

We were delighted to be in a quiet and peaceful holiday home yet within easy reach of the New Forest and its wonderful walks - just what we'd hoped for. Most beautiful countryside. It was an easy drive to some lovely old towns, Lyndhurst, Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard,for a day/half-day visit. Another advantage was being in walking distance of a couple of pubs for dinner, and an excellent convenience store.

Clean and homely

This property was the cleanest place we've stayed and was perfect for exploring the new forest. It had everything we needed, plus bonus additions like milk in the fridge. Co-op is very close to be able to buy food easily. We stayed here without a car and it wasn't a problem. Would recommend.

What a lovely gem!

What a beautiful place to stay - wish we had longer to explore the area! Very easy communication with the hosts. The annexe was huge! Much bigger than we thought. Had everything you needed and more. Such a cosy place, privacy was very much provided - not overlooked and completely enclosed. Would love to stay again! The location was ideal for exploring the new forest and local villages. Handy convenient store within walking distance too! Very pleasant and made our weekend having somewhere lovely to come back too on the evenings and chill. Perfect stay!

Cosy and peaceful stay

Had a wonderful stay at the weekend, the property was so cosy and welcoming (with a thoughtful welcome basket)! Perfectly located for walks in the New Forest and I recommend The Happy Cheese pub for great food and atmosphere! Thanks so much!!

Welcoming, homely, clean

What a find! My wife and I stayed here while visiting family in the area. This property is both clean and well equipped and ideal for a couple or single traveler. There is also a good wifi speed here, I would not hesitate to recommend this property!

Absolute perfection!

We had a 4 night stay here but wished we’d stayed for longer. The annex is very spacious, intimate and spotlessly clean with all the amenities needed. It is perfectly situated for easy access to the new forest and a stones throw from shops and restaurants too. We highly recommend Little Oak and sad that we have to wait for a year until our next stay. Thank you for making our break a positive and memorable experience.

Perfect getaway to the New Forest

This little cottage is a find in a thousand. Superbly equipped, and very nicely presented. I would definitely come here again if visiting this area. Little Oak is a very comfortable place. Almost everything we needed was provided in the price. Easy to get to, nice and quiet yet perfectly positioned for visiting the New Forest or Southampton - we took a 3-night break here prior to going on a cruise from S'ton, but wished we had stayed longer. The location is quiet yet in easy walking distance of shop (co-op), pubs and a great little bistro. No hesitation in recommending Little Oak.
