Charmigt nyrenoverat hus från 1790 med uppvärmd pool på Old Mount Tom 1 1/2 timme från NYC! beläget mellan Lake Waramaug och Bantam Lake. Super tyst och privat. Härliga blommande träd på fastigheten. Vacker gräsmatta. Nära till många underbara naturvandringar. De bästa restaurangerna i CT ligger bara 10 minuter bort! Antikaffärer. Tre separata sovrum, sovrum med king size-säng och badrum badrum. Det andra badrummet är utrustat med en två personer jacuzzi. De två andra sovrummen har queen size-sängar. Två badrum på övervåningen och ett halvt badrum nere. Modernt kök med stort kylskåp, diskmaskin och tvättmaskin. BBQ utanför! Snälla --- inga fester! Fråga om två veckors och månatliga priser under lågsäsong.

Fantastic!

A beautiful old home with historic details carefully preserved - with modern conveniences and updates. The property was stunning - fenced-in backyard with a great pool, incredible landscaping and flowers, field beyond the fence and woods beyond the field. Tons of birds - including baby turkeys! Kristina was a thoughtful and easy-to-reach host, and we had everything we needed. House is decorated stylishly, although might not work for very young children - vases, pottery, etc. on tables. Bantam area has lots to do, especially outside: some great hikes only minutes away. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely farm home in Litchfield

This was our second summer spending a week in this lovely home in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Our family of four spent the week enjoying our surroundings, relaxing, swimming and reading in a very comfortable home that had everything we needed. A well equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals in or the owner’s very detailed notes had many good recommendations for restaurants, and local activities. The owner, Kristina, is very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. We are looking forward to returning again next summer! Lori M. Philadelphia

Wonderful old farm house in Litchfield.

Private relaxing antique with pool!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this one of a kind antique home close to all that Litchfield has to offer. The homeowner’s have done a lovely job furnishing the home with a great blend of old and new pieces. The kitchen is fully equipped with every appliance you could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed the sitting area for morning coffee that provides a view to the pool. One of the best features of this home, is the comfortable beds. The King and 2 Queens are all like new mattresses. The bedding and towels provided are also very high quality. There are toiletries provided in both gorgeous newly remodeled baths upstairs (marble tiling). Oh, and there are even robes provided to add to the spa like feeling. Grab a pool towel, provided, and head out to the fabulous gunite pool. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool as we stayed during a July heatwave. Very well kept, private and yet close to town (10 min). Would highly recommend and return. Homeowner very quick to respond to any/all questions we had. Thanks!

Excellent stay

My husband and I stayed in this rental# 847310 for four weeks. The house location, its beautiful private setting, and practical interior set-up are ideal.We tend to like uncluttered home interiors and this house offers that as well as the preservation of many appealing 1790 features. The owners' concern that the house meet our needs was evident throughout all owner-tenant communications. The house Instructions left little confusion regarding house care as well as offering suggestions for community events and northwest Connecticut destinations. Without a doubt we hope to return to this property!

Charming!

This charming house was perfect for a much needed rest. The pool and grounds were beautiful. Beds were comfortable. Linens were great. The owner was wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. Very easy to communicate with and got back quickly. Only suggestion would be to have a comfortable and easy to maintain patio furniture for outdoor eating and entertaining. It's such a beautiful setting to have dinner but needs a nice table and chairs. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you so much Kristina, and we hope we can come again.

Perfect for our high school graduation stay

Our son was graduating from a High School near this Bantam home, therefore it was a great place for family to stay over Memorial Day weekend. The house is well accommodated and located. Lots of foodie haunts nearby. The notes the owner sent were excellent!

very nice property

We had a great time. The pool was wonderful as were the baby bunnies we found. Great bakeries and restaurants in the area. There are also a few beautiful preserves in the area for biking and hikes. We had a great time.The property was well maintained. Great place to have a barbecue at night and watch the songbirds in the morning. Property was well maintained and the owners were helpful and accessible. A few minor suggestions for next year: 1. While the kitchen was great it lacked large pots for boiling water for things like corn on the cob etc. 2. Window fans upstairs. The altitude is higher than the coast, but on the really hot days the bedrooms failed to cool adequately at night. It cooled down well at night outside. I don't think A/C is necessary, but window fans would definitely do the trick.

I have always wanted a place in the country. Growing up in NYC I wanted to have a house that had privacy in a beautiful setting, but also in a lively area. I think I got that. The area is full of lovely stores and great restaurants with New York chefs, they came up during the pandemic and most of them stayed! There are wonderful hikes nearby with breathtaking views. I love the roads all around, sometimes I think I am driving through England or France!

The property is unique because it is very private, yet you are not somewhere alone in the woods, it is a very safe neighborhood. I love interior design, so I have worked hard to make the house very stylish inside without a cluttered feeling. All my guests have told me that the beds are very comfy and that they have had the best nights sleep here. Grocery shopping is just minutes away with several stores that carry organic ingredients plus some hard to find ones. Farmers markets are all over the place as well. There are also amazing great coffee spots everywhere.
