Denna villa är en av de tre självhushållen i komplexet "Emily Villas" med en gemensam pool och ligger i Sami, ca. 1 km från centrum. Villan är utformad med syfte att betona kontakten med naturen och låta gästerna njuta mest av tiden utomhus. Många avkopplingsområden är ordnade och bjuda in gästerna att koppla av medan de beundrar den fantastiska utsikten över bergen och njut av sommarbrisen.
En stor gemensam pool berikar sammanhanget omgivet av solstolar och parasoller, medan på ena sidan en trevlig pergola husar den inbyggda grillen, och bredvid den utomhus matplats är en perfekt plats att samla på de lugna sommarkvällarna.
Inom ca. 15 km når du den fantastiska Myrtos-stranden (röstade till en av de tio bästa stränderna i världen). Också i ca. 5 km hittar du Antisamos strand med fantastisk bergsutsikt.
"Emily Villas" är en idealisk bas för att utforska Kefalonia.

Den som är ute efter någon aktivitet kan kolla in Argostolis hamn, och alla kan uppskatta den vackra naturen kring Myrtos-stranden och Trapezaki strand. Marin- och folkloremuseet i Ithaka och Kefalinia och Ithakas naturhistoriska museum är också värda ett besök. Lovely Villa in Lovely grounds in a beautifal part of the island

Villa itself is lovely with enough space to cater for 6 people, lots of space to move around and if it does get tight you have the option to sit on the veranda and enjoy the sunshine. I would have given it 4 stars but for me the beds are too firm and for my wife, no dishwasher. The grounds are lovely and secured (gated drive), our small kids could scooter up and down, the back of the villas is bushy and a perfect place for small kids to chase lizards and spot the odd wild cat. The pool is nice and big (although not heated) with enough sun lounges and a nice big BBQ that could cater for a gathering of quite a few people. Overall a lovely villa and if I was heading back to kefalonia I would definitely look to stay here again.

Lovely place to stay

The property was great with everything you could need. The pool was a big hit with my kids and extremely clean. The whole process was incredibly easy from start to finish. Location was a great base for exploring. You could walk into Sami but there are no pavements etc and a car would be recommended. Nothing was too much trouble and very quick communication. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Great location for exploring Sami and Kefalonia

Villa is one of 3 in a small gated compound that share facilities such as the pool, bikes and BBQ. It's about a 15minute walk into Sami, we found the safest route was to cross the main road, walk north a short distance and then on to the coast around the northern side of a campsite. It's then a pleasant walk along the coast into Sami. Much better than walking along the main road (no footpaths and mad drivers). Being outside Sami means the site is very peaceful and in the evening you get the sounds of the country - insects, goats, birds etc rather than cars and people. The villa is well located near the main road network for exploring both the local area and the island. It's about 40mins from the airport and an hour from the north and south of the island. We'd also recommend going on a day boat trip from Sami to an adjacent island. Sami has everything you need to buy stuff to eat in or eat out at one of the many restaurants. The villa and site are better maintained than others but slightly more lived in than the photos which look like they were taken when new. Enjoyed using the pool, didn't get to use the massive BBQ and loved sitting on the terrace in the evening. The kitchen equipment was basic and sparse compared to other places we have stayed but functional. Some may miss the absence of a microwave but we preferred that there was a washing machine. Accommodation comprises two bedrooms upstairs (double and a twin) and a twin downstairs. Two bathrooms, one on each floor, and an open-plan dining / sitting / kitchen area. Something to be careful of is that you only get one key for the door and the door does latch shut when closed. If the wind catches the door and closes it, and the key is inside, you're locked out. Very easily done! The main detractor for us, preventing a five star score, were the beds. The family are used to, and prefer, a harder bed but those in the villa were incredibly hard - not great for sleep and back pain. Something that didn't bother us but might put others off are the stray cats. Kefalonia generally does have a lot of strays, they are everywhere, but there are six which have moved in to the villa compound, beg for food and try and get into the house. Overall a strong recommendation unless you don't like hard beds, cats or can't cope with being outside the town.

Villa Rodriguez (Emily Villas) Sami

The villa was clean and spacious and well appointed. No dishwasher but that didn't matter as there were only 2 of us. The setting is lovely with beautiful mountain and sea views. We enjoyed breakfast on the upstairs balcony, taking in the fabulous views. The walk to the centre of Sami is a little longer than expected, around 25 minutes but there are a couple of bars and restaurants at the beginning of the beach/port which can be reached in under 15 minutes. Taxis are easily available and cost Euro 6 one-way. Alex and brother Nikos and their mum were very helpful and welcoming. I would recommend the property to anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing holiday and would be happy to stay there again.
