Härlig liten stuga - brukade vara på en gammal mjölkgård, idag är det bostad. Nära till Leura butiker / restauranger & en kort bilresa från den magnifika utsikten över plaskan - eller gå ner till vägen till MineHaHa Falls för en picknick.

Den främre verandan vetter mot en härlig innergård med en fiskdamm och fontän och det bakre däck är skuggat av en enorm gammal trädbregne. Värm din soppa och tittar på lunden av vackra bergaska. Slå dig ner för en vinterkväll bredvid en stor värmeapparat. Springtime presenterar en fantastisk show med lönn, körsbärsblommor och massor av infödda. Undvika överskottet från sommarvärmen med svalare nätter.

Tyst och privat (även om det är i ett bostadsområde, så det finns hus runt, inklusive en annan stuga på fastigheten där ägarna bor, inklusive en hund). Ställ på strax under en tunnland. Det är en enkel, mysig tillflyktsort.

Mountain Ash är en fristående stuga, med egen direkt tillgång till uppfarten och sin egen veranda och bakdäck.

Avslappnade helger bort. Det är en fantastisk bas för bushwalking eller författare reträtt eller bara göra ingenting.

Lovely setting

The house is set amongst gum trees , has a lovely outlook and feels rural , but only 2km into Leura Mall. Unfortunately we didn’t receive one of the emails which apparently provided the change of access code and the owners contact details. Luckily she lives adjacent to the property and appeared as we were deciding what to do next!

A lovely cottage with everything you need

A lovely cottage with everything you need. All the amenities are covered and it is the perfect space for two adults. We loved being a short drive to both Leura and Katoomba and seeing the chickens in the backyard. The owner is lovely and very responsive. We have stayed here multiple times and will return.

Cosy but in need of some TLC

We loved the fresh eggs and cosy look of the cottage. The location was great and Geri was easy to communicate with and gave us some great tips for places to eat. We wish there were more windows that could have been opened and utilised with a fly screen as the cottage needed some airing out. We were also quite disappointed when half way through making dinner we realised the oven didn't work and most of the burners required matches to light. A lovely, cosy home, but in need of some TLC.

Beautiful, quiet, warm and peaceful A++

I was very impressed with this property. It was just as pictured, if not better. It was incredibly clean, warm, inviting and a wonderful place to stay for a little mountain break. Very close to shops and walks. Geraldine is lovely, accommodating and I found her information about local restaurants really helpful! I love the chickens! 5*

Cosy cottage for a winter getaway

Warm cosy little cottage

The photos don’t do it justice! The kitchen gets beautiful sunlight and you can watch the sunset from the big kitchen windows. The gas heater heats up the place very quickly and gives it just the cosy feeling I was looking for. There is a little table out the front where I ate breakfast and watched the sunrise. And after mentioning I was a frontline healthcare worker, Geraldine even left a beautiful bunch of flowers and a card which was a lovely surprise! Overall great location, comfort, cleanliness and facilities. Would definitely recommend.

Blue Mountains getaway

The perfect stay

This place is perfect for a little get away. The owner is very nice and welcoming and the community is great! The location is perfect as it is peaceful, a nice walk to the shops and a short drive to the walking tracking around Leura!

Great place to get away & recharge

Cottage was private, very comfy & very thoughtfully equipped - perfect for resting up after long days hiking or simply exploring in stunning blue Mtns. Setting of cottage was lovely ... couldnt help but relax while enjoying outlook. Thank you Geri!

Romantic weekend away

Had a wonderful weekend at the cottage. Located in a quiet road, a short drive away from Leura village and Katoomba shops. Well equipped kitchen (look out for the tomato sauce and mustard bottles), cosy living room and warm and comfortable bed and pillows. Perfect place for a quiet getaway. Thanks to Geraldine for all the local tips, we took her recommendation for dinner at the Avalon and was not disappointed. Great collection of books as well, could easily stay longer, but had to get back to the kids ....

Great Weekend
