Peace and Quiet

The Harmony Barn was remote, quiet, and private. Mark was proactive, and he communicated quickly when we had inquiries. He gave us great information on local hikes. We would stay again.

Secluded studio. I’m glad I had a high clearance vehicle because the dirt roads to access the rental had a couple potholes. The place was quiet and in Mother Nature. The long windows allowed a nice view of the evening thunderstorms. Complete information binder had useful information.

Dark skies in Mancos

The Harmony Barn is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy nature and very dark skies. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable. Jody and Mark were very welcoming and responsive. Check-in is super easy. Everything was clean and in good shape. Our golden doodle stayed with us one night and had everything she needed. Our 11 year old son also stayed with us one night and slept comfortably on the day bed. We were pleasantly surprised there was no TV, but they will bring you a monitor to hook up to a computer if you can't live without it. We happily chose to read and star gaze instead. If you have a telescope you should bring it along. There is so much to do nearby. We spent a day in Durango and another in Telluride. Mesa Verde National Park and Phil's World Mountain Biking Trails are just 10-15 minutes away by car. We will definitely stay at Harmony Barn again when in the area.

Harmony Barn is still lovely on my 2nd visit

Harmony Barn is truly great for a peaceful get-away and the mountain views are breathtaking. The caretakers really do take good care! This was my second visit and I will not hesitate to book again.

Perfect Spot

What a beautiful property! The loft has endless good views from all the lovely windows & two decks! The decor was cheerful & colorful, nice touches. Quiet & tucked away yet a close drive to fun! Dog friendly! The host was great! Highly recommend this stay !

Great Place!!!!

We had a great time. Very clean, simple but had everything we needed. The balcony was our favorite spot. The views were amazing. Far enough out to feel like a retreat, but close to so many great places! The hosts were great and very quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely stay again.

Spectacular views in all directions

The location and property itself were both splendid ! The accommodations are cozy, clean and accessible to so many of the area attractions in Mancos, Durango, Cortez and Dolores. We thoroughly enjoyed the area and stay !

Perfect getaway

My husband, dog and I stopped in Mancos for a few nights on a road trip. The location was great for visiting Mesa Verde NP and Durango. The property itself is beautiful and we loved waking up, drinking coffee on the baconly and looking at the mountains! The hosts were very nice and responsive. Would definitely return.

Very nice inside & clean

Very clean & Nicely decorated. It’s in the mountains secluded & peaceful. We seen deer one evening. It gets very warm inside with no AC. As well as no window coverings makes it warmer & makes you wake up early. I would enquirer about construction in the bottom of barn before booking as it’s still under construction. Very nice people as well.

The Harmony Barn is just that!

They call this place the harmony barn! I felt at perfect harmony. It had little touches that made it so welcoming. The games, art supplies, doggy treats, and decks for your morning coffee or dinner. Our mother daughter trip was perfect! I love love love this place!

We booked this rental for 2 nights so that we could visit the Cortez, CO area. Once we checked in, we immediately wished that we had planned to stay longer. The space is so welcoming and comfortable and the views are fabulous. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could need and the bed was wonderful. We utilized the two decks, one facing east and the other facing west, for coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening (steaks cooked on the gas grill). The location is convenient from the highway for visiting all the area attractions (Mesa Verde National Park, Canyons of the Ancients, restaurants and shops in Mancos and Cortez, etc.), but there was very little road noise to disturb the peaceful surroundings. Our host, Mark, stopped by to check on our needs and he was able to quickly help us with a pair of pliers to open a stubborn and difficult bottle. Our stay at Harmony Barn was one of the highlights of our 10 day road trip. If we get the opportunity to visit the area in the future, we will definitely stay again.

A lovely get away!

This property was a DREAM!! The location was perfect for adventures in Durango and in Utah's Canyonlands area. We had an absolute blast, and loved staying in this beautiful home. The owners were prompt to answer our questions and even greeted us one morning on their walk with their dog. We will absolutely return next year!!

Perfect for a quiet getaway!

My husband and I stayed three nights and absolutely loved this studio and the peaceful landscape that surrounds it. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals, and there's a grill on the deck. The studio's artsy vibe is on point (the hosts are a writer and a painter), and by the way, there's a new, cushy red sofa in place of the bench and rocking chair you see in the listing photos! My husband sleeps in and I'm an early riser, so I appreciated that I could spend my mornings in the other room, reading and catching up on emails while letting him sleep. This property is minutes away from Mesa Verde National Park, where we spent a whole day hiking and driving around, and the hosts gave us a fantastic recommendation for another hiking trail outside Cortez, which is where we spent our second day. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!

Heaven!

What a lovely place to stay! From the moment we walked in we felt at home, only it was better. Everything is clean and beautiful, and there are artistic touches everywhere. Original art on the wall, as well as art supplies if you feel inspired to draw or paint. This is a renovated barn, so they added new windows and doors so the place is bright and open. You walk out to the new back deck through the french doors and the views are spectacular. We have a small dog, so it was nice to sit out on the deck with our dog and know that he was safe with us. (There's nature all around.) Indoors, the kitchen is fully-equipped, and it was a pleasure to cook breakfast, and sit out on the back deck to enjoy it. The wifi worked perfectly, so we were able to watch shows on our laptop, check email, etc. We had hot water in the shower, and fresh fluffy towels. The mattress, pillows and bedding were all great. I'm a picky sleeper, so I was relieved. The owners were perfect hosts, leaving us alone and yet completely available via text or phone if we had any questions. They just live up the road. We will come back!
