Hummingbird suite - nestled in the coastal forest

Your own little suite features everything you need. A comfy murphy bed that can fold away if you need extra space. Very comfortable recliner loveseat to help you unwind at the end of an adventurous day. TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Coffee and tea are readily available along with mini fridge w/freezer, toaster, and microwave. There is no full kitchen but we have added a hot plate and basic cookware. There are also some great little restaurants not too far away.

The bed sleeps two and upon request we have a twin air mattress if booking with a third person or child.

Stay

Brian's place was a great affordable option to enjoy the Madiera Park area. It was literally down the street from Francis Point Provincial Park where my family and I enjoyed a wonderful hike with gorgeous ocean views. The local sushi restaurant was delicious!

Clean, quiet, very reasonable. I would recommend to others. Only quibble is bed is not queen sized as listed, it’s a double. Comfortable, but not expected. And coffee maker leaks.

Clean and Cozy

I had a very nice stay at the hummingbird suite. My friend and I were very comfortable and enjoyed the space. And I got to bring my dog along which was a bonus. Very nice hosts!

Very disappointing stay

Outside - yard not cared for, lots of construction junk lying around...not a good first impression. Never did see the owners of the house. but I think they lived upstairs. Inside - very small bed; half the long wall was covered in plastic where all the electrical was.

Rocky Start/ Fine Place

I criticize VRBO for not informing me of the address and the contact number of the host, expecting me to be able to access information by mobile phone which I do not own. I had to phone the tourist info to even know the location of the accommodation, and when you did give me an address there was no way to contact the owner. Consequently we arrived at the check in time of 4PM to find no-one there. We waited til 7pm and returned home, a 45 min drive only to find the instructions in an email sent last minute the evening before. This assumes that I live with a mobile phone or computer attached to me! That being said the Hummingbird Suite was excellent with thoughtful touches and we enjoyed our stay. The owner was considerate to refund 1 nights stay and I am grateful. If I was him I would not list my property with VRBO. You are remiss in handling bookings.

Nice stay

I took myself and my two kids ages 4 and 7 here for 2 nights. Was the perfect little spot for us to stay. Plenty of space for what we needed. There was good communication with the property owner. It was nice having Netflix already on the tv and almond milk in the fridge! Great little set up especially for the price!

Comfortable stay and great location in Medeira Park with additional amenities.

Great location in Medeira Park. Beautiful little island with a nice coastal walk to the lighthouse just down the street. Unit is attached to the home but has ample room and amenities to make your stay comfortable. Loved that our host provided an extra little mattress, coffee, beverages, extra towels and of course yummy local chocolate. It was all greatly appreciated.
