Summary:
This amazing waterfront property is situated on a quiet part of Hindmarsh Island. Boat, fish, swim or kayak to your hearts content only metres from the front door. Your own private jetty and boat ramp close by. Mundoo Channel is one of the South Coasts most popular destinations having the Coorong National Park right on your doorstep. Fish for fresh Coorong Mullet, Salmon, Trout etc it's all right here. With only a 10 minutes drive to Goolwa.
This property makes the ideal holiday home for your next getaway. As soon as you arrive at this home you will feel automatically in holiday mode.
Do not forget to visit the Murray Mouth lookout and the Coorong Café only a 10 minute walk away.

The Space:
The property has the following layout:
Large front family room with combustion wood fire for those cozy winter nights. Also a split system, and ceiling fan. Plenty of seating areas and a large TV.

Three good size bedrooms.
Master Bedroom and second bedroom both with Queen size beds. Bedroom three has 2 lots of single bunk beds.
Bedroom two and three with built in robes available for the guests use.
The second living area/dining area also overlooks the water through the expansive windows making this the perfect spot to entertain your family & friends. Large dining table to seat 8 people.
Kitchen has electric cooking, double sink, coffee pod machine, kettle, toaster, large fridge and much more!
Main Bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and toilet.
Another second toilet is available.
Laundry has a washing machine.

Large front deck plus huge undercover alfresco area. Perfect spot to sit for hours. Ideal spot for the weekend barbecue to sit back with your favourite glass of wine and enjoy some of the best views that the South Coast has to offer. Gas pizza oven and BBQ available for use. Outdoor fire area which is undercover as well as a TV.

The shed also contains an air hockey table, table tennis table and 2 single Kayaks for guests to use. (please bring your own life jackets if you would like to use the Kayaks)

Peaceful, tranquil & quiet ! Loved the view and easy access for the nearby boat ramp. Being able to moore our boat on the private jetty on this property is definately a bonus. Amazing birdlife at harmony with natural surroundings. A pleasure to watch & observe. Plenty of fish caught directly off the jetty (mullaway, black bream, salmon trout) all slightly undersize so they were released back to the water. It was lovely to explore the channel & surrounding waters both by boat & canoe. The house was generous in size & very nicely presented, clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, water was hot for showers etc. Would definately recommend a stay here & I'm pretty sure we will be back in the near future for another holiday.

Not as expected

Booked for three nights but left after two as there was not hot water. This is apparently a known problem because there are instructions on how to fix it when it breaks. Followed the instructions carefully many times, plus many alternative ideas, but to no avail. Called the help number and left a message, but no response. Being unable to take a shower after you've been fishing all day is pretty unpleasant. Batteries in the aircon remote were flat, so decided to light the fire. Drove off to Goolwa to get some wood (there's wood at the house but if you use any you have to replace it), but should have also bought some kindling, so not a success. Did some battery juggling from my torch and finally got the A/C (and TV remote) working, but couldn't face another day's fishing without a shower. Overall, not quite what I had in mind for $250 a night.

Peace and a water view

Lovely house for a quiet getaway. All the comforts you need for a break from everyday life and stress. Watch the birds and be mesmerized watching the sunrise and changing scenery through out the day. Lovely and warm in the wild winter weather.

Perfect Getaway

This house had everything needed for a relaxing and hassle free getaway. My family enjoyed kayaking, fishing, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit and the games shed. I loved waking up everyday and seeing Pelicans, swans and seagulls on the lake. It was perfect to unwind and relax. The only negative I have is the out of the way drive to collect and drop off keys. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Great facilities

This property we well presented and had so many activities generally provided for by the property owners. We had a great time canoeing and fishing off the jetty and playing with the air hockey, darts and table tennis. A very peacefully and relaxing location with everything you could need. The location is quite remote, but that's part of the relaxing appeal. With so much provided for by the owners you don't really need to leave anyway. My only negative would be as many others have said, the key pick up and drop off is far to far away. Please please get a lock box on the property or a key collection in Goolwa. Travelling 30minutes out of our way to collect and drop of keys puts a dampner on an otherwise great holiday.

Great spot!

Magical spot. Right on the Coorong, with the Murray mouth only a 5 minute walk away down a small trail. Very relaxing, great for kids and adults. Very quiet spot on Hindmarsh Island. We will definitely stay there again.

Not Happy!!

On arrival we had no hot water for the first 24 hours, causing two of my guests to leave. After being advised how to restart the hot water system it continued to cut off many times a day and I would have to turn off the system and wait 20 minutes to restart. After trying again to contact harcourts with the hot water problem and not receiving any reply I left the accommodation early as it was just too annoying. I contacted harcourts prior to my trip to find out if the accommodation had been impacted by the floods, I was told no it had not been impacted, this was a lie!!! The water was hugely impacted and too dangerous for any form of water activity, which was why I booked the accommodation in the first place. I was relying on my children being entertained with water fun (as advertised) but the water was unsafe due to extreme currents and condition of water. As water activities were not possible I tried to entertain my children with table tennis and air hockey, this was not possible as the air hockey was not working, which was another disappointment. One of the bedrooms fly screens was not connected at the bottom, therefore the house filled with mosquitoes over night and everyone was covered with mosquito bites. I have tried to communicate with harcourts after returning home and had no reply. I have used Stayz many times with no problems but this is not acceptable I will be taking this further!

Lovely riverfront property

The property is well equipped, kitchen and facilities are great. Kids loved the canoes and stand up paddleboards, plus table tennis and airhockey. Owners even put some xmas decs (as we stayed over Xmas). Property needs window furnishings in living areas. Also note should be put on website to tell you that you cannot use a jetski from the property - only ski boat / fishing boat.

Lovely property everything one needs provided. Unfair check in process

The property is very well appointed and has everything one needs for a very relaxing stay. The checkin and checkout process is a little inconvenient with key pick up and return being a 20-30 minute drive away and not allowed to pick up key earlier. So in effect you don't get to enter the property at 2. Every minute counts if you're not staying a long time. And it meant we had to retrace our steps and change our plans on our departure day. should consider a lock box option.

Great place would stay again

Great place picking up the keys and returning them seems to be a lot of work lock box on the property works a lot better also linen should be supplied over all great place and everything there you need great location would recommend it to anyone 👍.

Family getaway

We went for a winter family mini break. Very cold, but the fire and heaters made up for that. Its a great place to stay, nice and quiet giving you a chance to switch off from everyday life and enjoy the lovely view. Shed with games etc was great for the kids. WiFi access would be good though. In short, we would definitely recommend this place

Get away from it all

Great communication, easy check-in and check-out procedures. House was comfortable, clean and had many extras for use like the pizza oven. Location is superb. It's very easy to escape from the daily grind by unwinding by the water front. There is very little man made noise and no light pollution so the stars are amazing at night. We loved every second of being here.

Perfect location nice & quiet on the channel

Booking process was by far the worst I have ever encountered via the RE property management. An absolute joke. The property was fantastic thou. Everything you could want was there and the views over the channel were always changing and stunning. The house was very well presented, clean and tidy and we very much enjoyed our stay.

Falls risk

My 86yr old father tripped on a small step going from kitchen to bathroom hallway and fell badly. It would be a good idea to have elderly slopes installed. It was a great few days otherwise. We felt very spoilt. Cheers to the owners.
