Family Reunion

A wonderful, family friendly property that allowed family to come together from Victoria and the US and spend quality time in a beautiful part of Canberra.

Very comfortable older home, neat and tidy, amazing pool area

Very comfortable, older home that suited our needs well. The property is dated (as stated by the hosts), but it was clean and tidy and all we needed. It has a very spectacular pool area, which is lovely, but is kind of distanced from the house, and is the only outdoor sitting area. I would have liked an outdoor sitting area right next to the house - the courtyard right off the main living area would be ideal, but there was no seating there. I was the only one of us three to use the pool or pool area. Some people have said the beds were really comfy. The main bed is really saggy, and the mattress needs replacing. The other queen bed is very, very squeaky. My 6 foot 4 son chose to sleep in the smallest of the single beds, as it was the most comfortable. A few kitchen items missing that I would consider necessities, such as a pair of scissors, and some proper tall water glasses (my husband went and bought some). The living room needs some ambient lighting; no lamps in the living room at all, just overhead... Plus no bedside tables in two of the bedrooms, and only one lamp in one of the bedrooms, and none in the bedroom with two single beds.

Poor start but redeemed by amenities

When we arrived the place was thick with cobwebs, the table and benchtops sticky. This took hours to clean. Once the cleaning was attended to (by us) we had a very pleasant stay - the swimming pool proving a great hit for us all.

Spacious accommodation

Very comfortable well stocked home away from home. Secure back yard for Pooch and right next to off lead park. Having 2 separate areas for entertainment in the house would be great for a larger party. We enjoyed a comfortable bed, Netflix and takeaway food. Would return to make use of the pool. Bit too chilly this time.

Nationals Sporting Event

We had everything we needed with two lounge rooms and great heating. Could make improvements with very little cost eg softer towels and oil doors so don’t squeak in night. Double bed squeaky whenever you moved. Swimming pool great even though middle of winter, maybe a few pool toys and a basketball

Happy Family stay

My family had a very comfortable and happy mid winter stay here. The heating system kept us cosy and warm. A fully functioning, sunny, welcoming house with comfortable beds and a swimming pool! Unfortunately our dog was too old and couldn't holiday with us, but with him, it would have been the perfect holiday.

Awesome place, great location.

This house is fantastic, awesome location. Very clean and tidy, excellent pool area, kids loved so did we. Definitely need thongs to get to pool but lol. Lots of room for a family and big couch for movie night. Fantastic place 😁

Spacious house, lovely pool and bed extremely comfortable

The pool was fantastic, clean and lovely warm water. The garden around it had beautiful roses and other colourful flowers, and the fencing meant it was very private, only the corellas and cockatoos to watch you swim. The house was older than we expected and the kitchen area was rather dated. But the televisions, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, WiFi were all new, good quality and absolutely great. It is rare to find a holiday rental with so many glasses, plates, mugs and ample cutlery. Well done, Tim and Kim for doing this. It really makes a difference as you don't have to keep washing up after every cup of coffee. We only used the main bedroom, which was a little dark because of the trees just putside the window. However , the bed was huge and so comfortable, we slept better here than in all the other places on this long trip. There was plenty of parking and we enjoyed using the basketball net when our grandson came to visit us . He didn't stay overnight but there was certainly ample room for him to stay in the other bedrooms if he had done so. It's a great house if you have a family as there's two toilets too. Always a bonus! So a very enjoyable stay, despite the unusually cold and grey weather.

Great property

We enjoyed our time at this property whilst exploring Canberra. Property is clean, spacious and well maintained. Short drive to city and local shops within walking distance. We also enjoyed afternoon swims in the pool. Kim and Tim were great hosts, very accommodating and responsive.

Wonderful stay

Great place for families. Tim and Kim were very responsive and super nice. The pool was amazing and the house had lots of space and everything we needed. Close to shops and some restaurants. Highly recommend.
