Relaxing Girls Weekend

This place was perfect for our family girls weekend! Comfortable beds, very nice hot tub, cute little pond in the backyard full of frogs and tadpoles, well stocked kitchen, and overall very welcoming. The only downfall is the neighboring house is very close. There is a privacy fence but the neighbor was using loud power tools throughout our visit. I would absolutely stay here again though.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was just adorable and the owner was gracious enough to provide a welcome basket of goodies and supplies. The only problem we encountered, which was absolutely not a huge deal for us, was that the WiFi password was not provided. We possibly located it but what we found did not work for any of the available networks. Again not a deal breaker but if this is important to you make sure to discuss before booking. Also to be noted, the cabin is VERY VERY secluded. Being a woman with 2 small children by ourselves I wish I would have known before booking. Overall it was a good experience.

Very nice home in the woods, BUT

This is a lovely home in a wonderful wooded setting. Check in instructions were simple, home was clean, kitchen had everything we needed. Although the owners live here part of the time it is not chock a block full will their personsl belongings. I appreciate that. When I rent a vacation home I do not want to feel that I am living in someone elses space. For the most part the listing was accurate but I think the listing should include the fact that there is a pond in the backyard as some families may want to know. More importantly it is very important that renters be aware that the stairs are extremely steep and with non standard treads. We had intended for my mom to stay in an upstairs bed, but there is no way she could safely use that staircase. There is a bright yellow sign in the home advising renters to be very careful, but potential renters should be advised before spending $$ on a rental that doesn't meet their needs. If you are physically fit this is a great property.

Family Getaway

Location was great. Cabin was homey and comfortable. The listing was not accurate as there was no hot tub. There was also no central air. There was one window air conditioner for the entire cabin. Overall our stay was good. We would stay again.

Family Getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location was good. The cabin was homey and comfortable. The description was not accurate--no hot tub, no central air, only one window air conditioner to cool the entire house. The property was clean however the kitchen had not been cleaned-the sink, stove, counter top and floors were dirty. There were also a lot of dead bugs and cob webs.

Beautiful setting

The setting for the cabin was just beautiful. The inside of the cabin was very nice, clean, and very well equipped. The only complaint we had was that the it was listed that they had a hot tub and wifi. I wish the absence of these two things would of been made to our attention. All in all the cabin was very nice, modern, clean with plenty of beds and TVs for entertainment. We would definitely like to come back next summer.

Cozy cabin in the woods

We had a very peaceful long weekend. We spent some time cross country skiing in Lakewood and doing puzzles in the cabin. Great getaway. We loved the heated floors and the heated toilet seat. We were disappointed the hot tub out side wasn't available, but all else was great.

Awesome place!

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay here. The place was very clean and accommodating! The location was nice, and peaceful. We did bring our pups along and there was lots of space for them to run and play. The property manager was very friendly and super helpful when I had any sort of question. Overall our stay was a 10. We are definitely coming back to Townsend.
