  • amazing location and very homey

"the location in the bay is just amazing. Loved waking and falling asleep to the water views. the home is very cozy and comfortable. it's great for kids as they have a large yard that they can play with and you can head down directly from their property to the muddy beach front to explore. loved that they had a canoe and a couple of kayaks but we didn't end up using it this time. they also have a crab trap that we did use and ended up catching our dinner for one night. the owners are lovely people and we enjoyed meeting them and their entire family. they are very accommodating and ready to help at any moment. some feedback: - overall the place was clean enough but be prepared for lots of spiders and spider webs. - the oven was very old and took a little while to figure it out (for us big city folk). it worked though it may have been a little slower to warm up than a newer one. - we thought the place could use a microwave for convenience we would definitely recommend this place to others and consider staying here again. thanks Tony and Randee! loved our stay and enjoyed meeting you."

  • Peaceful and comfortable cottage !

"A small but very well appointed cottage. The interior was squeaky clean and tidy and all the little extras added up to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hosts are friendly and helpful and it is in a good location for everything, especially sitting by the river. We highly recommend it and would love to come back again !!"

  • lovely home, beautiful landscaping, tranquil environment

"This was perfect for our family of 4. Our hosts provided directions to their place, and suggestions for things to see on Salt Spring Island. The house was fully equipped with toys and books for our girls (ages 3 and 7), so it felt completely like ours for the weekend. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It is about a mile away from the town. When the hot tub stopped working, Doug was quick to respond to our email. We were fortunate to see 2 deer outside the front window during our stay...they must have felt at home too."

  • Amazing Hidden Gem

"The first thing you notice when you walk in is the breathtaking view of the ocean front from your balcony where you can eat breakfast and enjoy watching the sun rise. The resort's amenities were also great, especially the pool which was close to the shore and allowed us to see sea otters swimming nearby. Within walking distance, was the beautiful Robert Memorial Park where you can take a short hike (about 1 km) through the forest to a rocky, waterfront shore. There's a similar hike through Cable Creek which is a only a short drive away. While on vacation, we were able to visit the beautiful cities Victoria and Nanaimo, the beaches in Parksville and went whale watching in Cowichan Bay. Overall, we enjoyed the flexibility of being able to decide between fun excursions nearby or more relaxation time at the condo. I've stayed at other places in Nanaimo and Ladysmith before, but this Yellow Point Condo is definitely my first choice now."
