  • You won't regret choosing this place!

"We had been to Pender before but decided to try a different cottage this time. It was absolutely wonderful. Huge windows with ocean views in every room, clean well kept cottage, and best of all a hot tub even closer to the water than the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to be back again."

  • Somewhere we'd aspire to live!

"My best friend and I recently spent 3 nights at Amata for our annual girls' getaway, and we could have easily stayed a week ... or more! The suite is fresh + comfortable, lovely, full of thoughtful touches, and equipped with everything you might need for a short trip away. It also stays quite cool on hot summer days! Jason + Brett are welcoming and kind hosts, and truly made us feel as though we were at home. We thoroughly enjoyed simply sitting around on the deck with our morning coffee - which opens out onto their beautiful garden - listening to contented bees buzz amongst the lavender and watching deer and fawns amble happily around the property. We liked that it was just far enough off the main road, but still quite close to Ganges, and otherwise pretty central to getting around the rest of the island. The view at the top of Mt Maxwell is well worth the drive up. If you're around on Saturday for the famous farmer's + artisan's market, do go early! We also highly recommend one of Brett's yoga classes in the pyramid, it's accessible for yogis of all levels. We usually don't repeat locations for our summer getaways, choosing to visit somewhere different each year, but we are already contemplating a return to the calm + beauty of Amata again next year!"

  • A wonderful home from home with everything to make your stay an enjoyable one.

"We had a wonderful 19 days in Tony and Sandy's apartment. So good we didn't want to go home! Everything was provided to make our stay a most comfortable one. It was very well situated close to town centre and shops, cafes and restaurants. Close to the shore line and lovely walks. Very close to the San Juan Ferry and bus stops for Victoria, Butchart Gardens and for the ferry to Vancouver and Nanaimo. A lovely kitchen to cook meals. Food shopping was easy and we were delighted with the choice of at least 3 large supermarkets. Eating out wasn't so expensive as it was in UK and plenty cafes for coffee and cake in the afternoon. Overall we had a great holiday and Tony and Sandy were lovely hosts. We will most certainly be back . On second thoughts I maybe shouldn't have written this review? I want to make sure they are not all booked up and always have space for us! But seriously we can honestly say best place ever!"

  • Wendy's home is a fabulous place to stay

"From our first view Wendy's home was a WOW and it just kept getting better. In between morning coffee on the deck watching a hummingbird feed on the Hibiscus tree in full bloom and dinners at sunset we enjoyed a most relaxing time. The views from the deck were an ever-changing seascape. The home is a welcoming reflection of her creativity, her sense of design and colour - we embraced it all. It was hard to leave but we will return.. Thank you Wendy for a most delightful weekend..... sarah & arvi"
