  • Amazing house and great location!

"I spent a girls weekend at this house and it was exactly what we needed...gorgeous house to sit, relax and chat! The property manager, David, and owner, Barbara, were extremely helpful and gave us suggestions on where to eat and visit. The main street is less than 5 minutes from the house and we thoroughly enjoyed the shopping! We are hoping to make this an annual tradition with our friends."

  • There's a reason to live: Find out why at Bee's Knees BnB and Art Studio in Picton, Ontario

"We’ve all seen the show: “Say Yes to the dress”. And who hasn’t picked their horse at the local race based on the jockey’s name or the equine’s silks? And so it was with anticipation that the newest BnB attracted my attention, “Bee’s Knees BnB & Art Studio” located in Picton, Prince Edward County, Ontario is bold, bright and YELLOW! With a crisp blue sky as a backdrop, 15 Cumberland Street is a tiny touch of “home away from home”. Proprietor Treese is as sunny as the yellow home is inviting. Smoke-free and pet-free, Treese has opened up her two large, upstairs rooms for guests who want to explore the myriad of options available to the visitors to the grape growing county. Taking a page from “Eat, Pray, Love”, Treese has transformed the yellow home into an idyllic bower of comfort. Guests are ushered in and shoes are shed for an unencumbered stay. Communication begins conversation and with a hostess like Treese those discussions can go far and wide, or light, or deep. With a Swiss background and a family scattered across Canada and around the globe, Treese brings a wealth of knowledge and common sense to any conversation. Rooms are offered at reasonable prices; her list of do’s and don’ts is small; and her breakfasts are healthy, nutritious and varied. She has an infectious laugh that resonates and she assails her guest with genuine smiles. She is passionate about the island she calls home. Treese wants her guests to “have fun!” She encourages them to explore what the surrounding villages have to offer, and to return for a comfortable evening. She is not afraid to deal some cards or break out the occasional board game to help in the decompression and sharing of the days activities. The covered patio in the backyard affords a quiet, reflective space to chat, read, write or enjoy a glass or two of your own bottled vintage. And before you know it, you’ve made another friend who you will want to come back and visit, because that’s what happens at the yellow home known as Bee’s Knees BnB & Art Studio, in Picton, Ontario."

  • Very comfortable and extremely clean. Detail to decor is very well thought out.

"This house offers a quaint, cozy, and warm atmosphere. Everything from the kitchen utensils to the quality linens and sheets are provided. When our day came to an end, we relaxed in the tv room and enjoyed added amenities such as access to Netflix and wifi. This rental offers everything you could possibly need during your time away from home. Since this house is steps away from the downtown core, we never had to drive anywhere in order to experience all the local shops Picton has to offer. The owner Megan is extremely friendly and a great communicator, answering all my questions leading up to our stay. Thank you for opening up your house as a rental Megan for us and many others to come. We had a wonderful time."

  • Very luxurious, a wonderful stay!

"The coach house was perfect for our mother and daughter getaway. When we arrived we entered the very clean, newly renovated coach house which had everything you need for a week stay! The bedrooms were wonderful, and the beds were extremely luxurious - each night it felt like you were sleeping on a cloud. They were also very private (all being on the same side of the house) so you didn't see into others rooms, etc. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need (EVERYTHING) and very clean, easy and functional. We had no problem putting three of us in there to cook a meal together. The dining room and living room were very comfortable for sitting and watching movies or playing board games and we really enjoyed sitting on the little patio while BBQing and just enjoying the weather. While in the area we visited Sandbanks Provincial Park (about 20 mins from Picton) which was beautiful, the beaches were immaculate - the owners provide you a pass to get into the park which is awesome as it is quite a cost and would surely add up over the week! The part of the beach we went to was dog friendly so perfect for our pup! You could also rent paddleboards just around the corner from where we were sitting at the beach. The town of Picton is a quiet town but there are lots of shops, grocery stores, LCBO, Beer Store and everything you need in that way to feel perfectly comfortable. We just walked up to the grocery store whenever we needed anything which was very handy! We also visited a lot of wineries while in the area and enjoyed a lot of wonderful local wine - Devil's Wishbone was a neat experience, Wapoos was very nice and we ended up spending a lot of time at Sandbanks winery as it was just so relaxed (we got some meat and cheese, a glass of wine and just enjoyed the day!). All of those wineries were also dog friendly. On our day trips to the beach we also liked to stop at the little towns around Picton and enjoy the little cafes (Kin in Bloomfield was great - try the roti!!!), The Drake Devonshire in Wellington was very tasty and we sat right out on the lake which was so nice! The Miller Inn at Lake on the Mountain was a beautiful place to sit and have a coffee in a really cool setting (the Lake on the Mountain). I would highly recommend the coach house for your next stay in PEC! It's location (being quite central to everything) paired with the luxuriousness of it made for a perfect vacation!"
