  • First Class Roatan Accommodations

"My husband, daughter, and I have rented five different places on Roatan, and this house stands out as being exceptionally located and exquisitely appointed. During our two-week stay, we enjoyed being in a quiet part of West End and also just a couple minutes walk to Half Moon Bay, the grocery store, shops and restaurants. The house is right on the water, and we enjoyed early morning kayaking as well as sunsets from their dock. We cooked almost every meal in the house and had everything we needed – from sharp knives and sauce pans for meat dishes to bread pans for fresh bread. We really liked being in a peaceful, safe part of town and also close to everything we wanted to do. Everything in the house is brand new, from towels and bed sheets to kitchenware and couches. We had everything we could possibly need, and if we needed help with anything, property managers Stan and Joan were there to assist us. It was really nice to have them next door. You would be hard-pressed to find two more helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating neighbors. They were an absolute joy and helped us with our many questions. One other detail we appreciated about this house was that AC/electricity and water are included, which is not often the case on Roatan. If you are looking for a two-bedroom rental in West End and this unit is available, you should book it. You will not be disappointed."

  • Great stay

"Casa Canuck is a great stay. Stan and Joan (your hosts) quickly become your family. They picked us up at the airport, took us grocery shopping before introducing us to our home. We stayed for 2 months. When we realized the size limitations of our suite they went out of their way to make us comfortable and make the suite work. The room was immaculate, and they had housekeepers come weekly. The yard is always neat and clean. The location of Casa Canuck is amazing. Within a three minute walk there is a great grocery store, restaurants, dive shops, and scooter rentals. Do yourself a favour, rent a scooter and explore the beautiful island. Restaurants are reasonably priced, street food is insanely cheap and both are great. keep walking down that road and you will find new experiences every day! Roatan has fantastic diving, but West End and West Bay have the best snorkelling that we have ever experienced. We saw more sea life snorkelling than we did diving! The people truly make your stay. The residents of the island are so friendly and caring...can't wait to come back!"

  • Great location

"We stayed here with another couple and the location is perfect, close to the beach and town but off the main road a bit so that it stays quiet at night. We stayed 9 nights and ran the a/c in the evening in the main room and at night in the bedrooms. Our electricity bill was $87 so about $10/day...pretty reasonable. The kitchen had all we needed and purified water was included as was a hairdryer and beach towels. Be sure to try the $1.50 beleadas at Calelus (it's next to the Booty bar) and the $2 smoothies-you can add your own rum! And you must snorkel or dive the reef, amazing! Gustavo parks his boat at Lost Paradise and he'll take you to some good sites for $10-15, including gear and he will guide you in the water. Stop at Eldons on the way from the airport and get your beverages and snacks and you will be ready to relax. We spent time in the pool after our day at the beach, perfect to cool off."

  • Awesome Stay in Casita Tropical !!!

"We were delighted that we selected Casita Tropical for our most recent trip to Roatan. We were met at the airport by Mark and Deana (our gracious hosts); who also took us to the grocery store on our way to the Casita. The location turned out to be ideal for us, just one minute walk to our favorite dive shop and a short two minute walk to the quaint beach town of West End. The Casita is nestled right in the bay, you really couldn’t get any closer to the water. We had a lovely covered outdoor space and use of the dock. We really enjoyed watching the sun rise in the mornings with coffee, and happy hours during sunset on the dock. The Casita was very inviting, clean and surprisingly spacious (hard to tell from the pictures). Both the bedroom and the bathroom are generous in size, the king size bed was very comfy; we enjoyed being able to spend a lazy rainy day curled up in bed watching the 55” TV. The sitting area has another small TV and we had everything we needed in the kitchenette. I know that after our departure the plans are to expand the Casita to include a full kitchen, which will make it even more perfect. A very private apartment on the bight. We really enjoyed our stay at Casita Tropical and getting to know Mark and Deana. Not only did they provide lots of information on what to see/do/eat while in Roatan, they even took us out for a snorkeling trip on their little boat on a beautiful calm day. We love Roatan, especially the West End area, and we will definitely be booking the Casita Tropical for our next trip, can’t wait! This is a definite thumbs up for us and a fantastic find for a place to stay.!!!"
