  • A fantastic 5 days at La Cafourche apartment

"We loved the location of the property, centrally situated in the beautiful village of Beynac en Cazenac. Aurore provided us with detailed instructions and Paula was very helpful, meeting us at the car parking area and driving us up the very narrow streets to the apartment. The views of the Dordogne river and valley are wonderful and there is a lovely outdoor garden terrace. Even though we had a few drizzly days we could still enjoy sitting in the lounge and dining area. The whole apartment is well equipped and very comfortable with quality fittings. Several very good restaurants are within easy walking distance. We found Beynac to be a great base for exploring the surrounding area and our stay here was a highlight of our trip to France."

  • Fantastic house, a relaxing place with wonderful views

"This house exceeded our expectations! A holiday here gave us a place to relax, away from the crowds within easy reach of the beautiful Dordogne river for canoeing and cycling. We explored many places for sight seeing within a short distance by car. Our children aged 17 and 9 loved the pool, we had a very hot week so we needed it to cool off! We would spend evenings outside having dinner, watching the hot air balloons take off, listening to the crickets and gazing at the stars well into the evening. We had the perfect holiday with lovely memories. We have already recommended this property to friends!"

  • Gorgeous farmhouse property

"My husband, son, friend and I recently stayed in this gorgeous property of La Maison d'Etrey overlooking the valley in a very little village where the church bells chimed. The property is split by a number of levels, and has been fully renovated that has an ambiance that is simply quite charming. It has a spacious tv room that we called a 'hug' as it is very snug. The kitchen is perfect for cooking, with every knife and pot alike. So a visit to the local market at St Cyprien (which is a MUST) made it an absolute joy to come home and try our cooking with local produce. Daniel is the owner of the property and contactable all through the week that we rented. We had a few questions and he always responded promptly which made ease of use in all aspects of the property, including payment processes. There is a pool but rather cold but my son still managed to have a swim (a quick dip). We absolutely enjoyed this property immensely and quite frankly, wish we could have stayed longer. It is located in a very small village where there is no supermarket, etc but who cares - it is so close to Beynac and St Cyprien, it didn't matter; it gave us an opportunity to continue exploring! A great location to explore all that Dordogne has to offer whilst providing a rural solitude to re-charge the batteries. Daniel also provides a list of the best places to eat and we chose La Petite Tornelle in Beynac - this was a wonderful lunch where one is not overwhelmed by tourists. If locals hang out there, and the restaurant is full, then it must be a winner and it was! I have just looked at other reviews, and they are spot on. This is a property not to miss!"

  • Wonderful Flat to stay in!!!

"If you want the experience of living in a medieval village this is the place. The Flat is the perfect place to come back to after enjoying Château de Beynac, the Dordogne Valley or just the village itself. It was like coming back to my own 13th century home but updated with the modern conveniences of course. You can come back and make your own meals or if you prefer eating out and don't mind walking a minute or two there is a great restaurant at the base of the path leading to the flat. If you're planning to visit this area then I highly recommend staying here. Excellent place!"
