  • Wonderful week at Le Bourg

"Our family, my husband and, our daughter and her husband, and our 2 granddaughters, loved everything about the house and the area. We visited the castles, the caves, the markets, took a canoe down the river and best of all, swam in the river at the end of each day's outing. With temperatures in the 30s themail swimming was a big Bonus! The house accommodated our 2 age groups perfectly, we each had our own bedroom space, but had plenty of room to cook and eat together. Having Dimitri cooked for us one night was such a treat. I will certainly recommend the house to our friends...and the lovely little village, so close to all the activities. Thank you ,Kitty, for all your helpful Hints! We would love to come back for another holiday.Jennifer"

  • Six stars! Seven!

"Before I wrote this review, I looked at some of the most recent ones. They are all glowing and generally gob-smacked. So I won't repeat what has already been said numerous times. La Maisonette is the best place any of us have stayed, EVER. The area is incredibly gorgeous with tons to do. We could easily spend six months straight or just move right in and never leave. Thank you Ben and Steph for sharing your amazing cottage. Thank you Elly and Pierre for being such fabulous local hosts. Thank you Martine for cleaning the home to perfection. I am always seeking variety and new experiences and generally do not return to the same place twice. I would head back to Maisonette very happily for another stay!"

  • A wonderful place to stay in the Dordogne

"Loved our Beynac holiday house. It has a wonderful view over the Dordogne, generous living space and three good bedrooms all in separate parts of the apartment. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathrooms are very good, and there's a huge chest full of games. Beynac is a charming village itself and ideally placed to explore the Dordogne area. We highly recommend it."

  • Superbly furnished property in a fabulous French village

"We were delighted with our stay at La Petite Maison in Beynac. The owners had anticipated our every need and then some! The kitchen was fully equipped ... even three whisks, a choice of corkscrews and a full range of knives. Books and videos for information and entertainment. Two very spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. And the village! Everyone was so friendly! We had some really fun pronunciation lessons at dinner one night. The Tourisme Info staff were well informed and helpful. And Martine, our host's representative was charming and fun! Beynac is in the middle of a rich and vibrant area. Recreation, culture, food, outdoors, history! It's all there. Float down the Dordogne River, visit the cave paintings, eat foie gras. Live the good life in Beynac."
