  • A Gem on the Dordogne

"First, we were looking for a smaller intimate village for our stay in the Dordogne and we were more than happy to find that we were not disappointed on the township of Beynac (meaning the place of the big rock). The L'ancienne Poste was a perfect location to enjoy the delights of the Perigord Noire. The accommodations were better than advertised as the view was even more spectacular than we anticipated. The interior has been extensively remodeled and well equipped. The pool was a delight to cool off from the few very warm afternoons. The town is small and very manageable to find all your needs and we personally recommend the restaurant La Petite Tonnelle. And don't miss the weekly market in the parking lot for Foie Gras and fine (and inexpensive) wines. In short, a great place to stay and very responsive owners."

  • A fantastic 5 days at La Cafourche apartment

"We loved the location of the property, centrally situated in the beautiful village of Beynac en Cazenac. Aurore provided us with detailed instructions and Paula was very helpful, meeting us at the car parking area and driving us up the very narrow streets to the apartment. The views of the Dordogne river and valley are wonderful and there is a lovely outdoor garden terrace. Even though we had a few drizzly days we could still enjoy sitting in the lounge and dining area. The whole apartment is well equipped and very comfortable with quality fittings. Several very good restaurants are within easy walking distance. We found Beynac to be a great base for exploring the surrounding area and our stay here was a highlight of our trip to France."

  • Superbly furnished property in a fabulous French village

"We were delighted with our stay at La Petite Maison in Beynac. The owners had anticipated our every need and then some! The kitchen was fully equipped ... even three whisks, a choice of corkscrews and a full range of knives. Books and videos for information and entertainment. Two very spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. And the village! Everyone was so friendly! We had some really fun pronunciation lessons at dinner one night. The Tourisme Info staff were well informed and helpful. And Martine, our host's representative was charming and fun! Beynac is in the middle of a rich and vibrant area. Recreation, culture, food, outdoors, history! It's all there. Float down the Dordogne River, visit the cave paintings, eat foie gras. Live the good life in Beynac."

  • Traumhaus, Traumurlaub

Absolut empfehlenswert!"
