  • Brilliant. Awesome. Inspirational. Like being in a fairytale. Everyone should have this experience.

"It's difficult to find words that express how wonderful staying in this location is, let alone how gorgeous la maisonnette was. The cottage was so lovely. It had all the charm of a centuries old cottage but with all the modern amenities one could wish for. The village was like being in a fairytale. We wish we could have stayed longer. The instructions for the house were very clear and helpful. Elly and Pierre were just lovely. Thank you Ben & Stephanie for creating a wonderful getaway. We will be saving up to return and spend more time here."

  • very happy with our choice of house

"A lovely week in this house in September. It is spacious, comfortable, well equipped & in a perfect location - the very most we travelled was 45 mins to get to all the must-see sights in the area. This was a relaxing but interesting holiday. We felt at home. The house was as advertised although a few things may interest you – the upstairs double bedroom is accessed from the stairs through a door into a sofabed/dressing area. There is no door between this and the double bedroom (so the sofabed is only really suitable for children). Parking – a garage is a 2 min walk away & we used it all the time (in a Renault Clio estate). Paid parking was a minute further up for 5euro/day, however, if you presented your rental agreement you could buy a 7-day permit for about 14euro. Walking up the interesting stone alleyways from the house gave lovely views over the surrounding area, especially from the Chateau de Beynac – great in the evening when it was shut. The inflatable tyres a previous reviewer mentioned were in the house all ready & waiting! Try a kayak trip down the river - we hired one for 2 hours from Canoe Vacances the other side of La Roque Gageac. We mostly floated down on a gentle current & were then picked up by minibus & taken back to our car – very easy & really good to see everything from the river."

  • Fantastic house, a relaxing place with wonderful views

"This house exceeded our expectations! A holiday here gave us a place to relax, away from the crowds within easy reach of the beautiful Dordogne river for canoeing and cycling. We explored many places for sight seeing within a short distance by car. Our children aged 17 and 9 loved the pool, we had a very hot week so we needed it to cool off! We would spend evenings outside having dinner, watching the hot air balloons take off, listening to the crickets and gazing at the stars well into the evening. We had the perfect holiday with lovely memories. We have already recommended this property to friends!"

  • First class holiday home. The owners had supplied so many extras which got us to a good start.

"We were met by the owner Ofer, who spent time showing us the property and explain how every thing worked, and where we could get our shopping. The property was spotlessly clean and we immediately felt comfortable. The views form the patio were impressive. We will certainly be going back and will tell our family and friends about the property."
