  • Plan Perfecto

  • Couldn't have selected a better destination in Medellin! The property was exactly as described.

"Couldn't have selected a better destination in Medellin! The property was exactly as described. Located just 2 blocks (3-5 min) from Parque Lleras. Very safe community. No issues with nearby tenants. Maria (housekeeper) was an angel. She made sure we had anything we needed. Cesar also helped set up transportation for our group which was much more affordable than a taxi or Uber. Truly a remarkable experience. Thank you again Cesar for allowing my group to use your property for our stay! 10s across the board!"

  • Great neighborhood for foodies

"I chose to stay in Envigado this trip to experience something different than Poblado. I'm glad I did. This loft is located in Envigado's Calle de la Buena Mesa ("Good Dining Street"). Pros: First American's great customer service; apartment is convenient to excellent restaurants with an estimated 20+ within a 90 second walk from the apartment; apartment comfort, decor and features; neighborhood safety (constant police presence); comfortable walking distance to downtown Envigado and Envigado Park with many stores, an Exito supermarket, and several ATMs (Bancolombia and Citibank); easy access to Poblado and Laureles during off-peak traffic hours; good light- and sound-proofing; comfortable queen bed; A/C works perfectly; plenty of hot water in rain-shower; washer AND dryer available next to apartment (but behind locked door so you need a key or ask the maids for access); practically zero foreign tourists. Cons: small-ish apartment but adequate for 1 person (it's a studio so don't expect a palace); construction noise from next-door building started at 8:30 AM and went on all day; minor wear and tear inside the apartment (e.g. broken door sill, one kitchen drawer hanging loose, loose shower soapdish, broken kitchen knife); staircase is VERY dark at night (until you climb about 1/2 the steps to the 2nd floor which will trigger the motion-activated staircase light - until then you'll need a flashlight)."

  • Big, roomy apartment, helpful owner, great location

"We were fortunate to choose this apartment for a two-month stay in Medellin. The king-sized bed in the main bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a large view window was a real plus. Although we are just one couple we found uses for the second bedroom that made our stay easy and convenient. I worried at first that there is no air conditioning but I soon learned that there is no need for it. Medellin's elevation and very pleasant weather kept us comfortable almost all of the time. If it got a little too warm, the fans in the apartment gave us all the cooling we needed. Every morning we took advantage of the veranda off the living room to sit outside, drink our coffee or tea, eat our breakfast and catch up on the news. The apartment is up a hill from the main part of Poblado (Hey, it's Medellin. The hills are everywhere!) and I took advantage of that fact to get some good, vigorous walking in. But the truth is that it's just a ten minute walk down to the business district and only a bit more to the Poblado station of the GREAT Medellin Metro. We ate out much of the time but when we decided to cook for ourselves the small kitchen was sufficiently equipped for us to do that. Special kudos go to the security in the building, especially the 24-hour doormen. Very nice guys. The apartment owner was very easy to deal with, responsible to every question and very helpful arranging house cleaning for us at a very affordable price when we wanted that. We would happily go back again to stay in the same apartment. We were a little sad to leave, in fact, at the end of a great trip."
