  • Lovely Gem of a Property

"If you are looking for location, value, peace and quiet in your home away from home this is it. The hosts are lovely, caring and concerned. The fact that this unit is attached to the JW Marriott Hotel is especially attractive should you need the services or maintenance provided by the hotel. Access is through the hotel should you wish so walking to Plaza Foch with the nearby abundance of restaurants and the beautiful Parque Carolina for a morning's run is simplified. Taxis are plentiful at the Marriott complex as well. The unit is nearing time for a freshening, e.g. new paint from years of maids' rushing to get their work completed:, but please do not let that deter you from staying here. It is reflected in the unit's rate. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Quito and will recommend this property to others. The exemplary hosts went out of their way to make my stay pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you Trinidad for helping create lovely memories of Quito during my stay. I hope you will allow me to stay with you again soon."

  • So impressed by this authentic Ecuadorian home.

"I can't say enough good things about our stay in Sandra's home. This truly is her home and is filled with the personal touches ou would expect in someone's home such as the decorations that all have their own personal story to tell. Sandra was a welcome host who I now consider a dear friend. She was always available to help with any request such as calling a cab and negotiating a price. She even went to the folkloric ballet with us and took us to a pub to listen to Ecuadorian Celtic music. So much fun and such a special memory. This home is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood with taxi's easy to catch outside the door. You can walk to the grocery store, bakery, coffee shop, sushi restaurant all in the neighbourhood. Old town is about a 10 minute drive away by taxi. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen, beautiful dining room/living room and a little tv viewing room between the 2 main bedrooms. It is tastefully decorated and clean and tidy. Sandra is also available to take you on tours if you wish. Great if you don't want to hire someone else to be your tour guide. Her facility with English, Spanish and French is sure to please many visitors. It has been such a pleasure staying in Sandra's apartment and getting to know this lovely woman. You won't be disappointed if you rent this apartment in Quito."

  • Great location. Secure. If you like to walk, wonderful access to all the sites.

"The property owner was extremely helpful and helped us with airport pick up,area tours and city guidance. The apartment is clean, has everything you need to be independent and great views. We would stay here again and recommend it to our friends."

  • A little piece of paradise-living the dream at Casa WF!

"The thought of vacationing on another continent, in a Spanish-speaking country, off resort and in a rural fishing village on the coast of Ecuador was, to us, a risky venture. Our flight from Toronto had a lengthy layover in Bogota, Colombia then on to Guayaquil a very large city 240 km from the pacific coast. Had we to do this trip over we would have flown from Toronto to Quito then flown to Manta which is a mere 40 mins cab ride from Casa WF. We arrived at the B&B a little after 5AM in the dark during a rain storm. We were met by our hosts Marty and Jim with umbrellas and warm greetings in hand and we were quickly introduced to our very rooms which were both well decorated and very well appointed. It filled us with some confidence that Marty and Jim took the time to get up early and wait for our arrival and this initial act was a harbinger of the care and attention to detail that was to come. The suites were immaculately clean, the washroom and shower facilities I later told Marty were world class. There was satellite TV in the room but we never turned it on but I was told by our travelling companions it came with plenty of English language channel choices. Each morning the sun and surf opened our days and we had brought some coffee from Colombia which Jim and Marty happily brewed for us as we devoured fresh fruit and a truly delicious American breakfast sourced fresh from local markets. The breakfast serving always revolved around our schedule and we felt somewhat pampered and spoiled during our stay. San Jacinto and its neighbouring villages had a plethora of dining establishments. Jim and Marty thoughtfully explained the local cuisine, their favorites and even produced a Spanish language guide to the menus! All of our meals were very fresh, well prepared and could not say we had a bad meal. Marty and Jim's local knowledge and advice was key to our enjoyment to the Casa WF experience. They gave us many excellent suggestions on where to go and what to do and for that, we are grateful. They were respectful of our privacy while at the same time attentive to our questions and requests. Casa WF is located at a river mouth emptying to the sea and the ebb and flow of tide water creates an ecosystem of songbirds and seabirds all day long. The gardens and grounds are exceptional and the quiet and privacy of the location was key to the true "getting away from it all" experience. Our stay at Casa WF far exceeded our expectations. Thanks Jim and Marty"
