  • Charming home in a great Lower Haight location!

"This was perfect for us! We stayed 4 nights, with two teenage boys, no rental car. We took the BART and then an Uber from the airport, arriving late afternoon. The house was easy to find and the access directions that I received via email were good (tip: use the main entrance and not the stairs in the garden, especially if you have luggage :) Having separate rooms for the kids sure is better than them sharing a bed in a hotel- especially after a long day of "togetherness" on vacation. Super comfy beds. We were able to easily order food in when we wanted, and there were lots of cute breakfast stops within walking distance. Painted ladies are nearby, although Alamo Square park is under construction. We walked pretty much everywhere each morning (one day to Chinatown, one day to Castro/Golden Gate park, etc. and then uber'd home when we got tired. There is definitely traffic noise, but not so much that we couldn't sleep."

  • Beautiful Apartment in Lovely Neighborhood

"This property is at the end of a dead end street in a very upscale neighborhood. The ad described it as Noe Valley but I think this was on top of a hill so Id describe it as Diamond Heights. The apartment was lovely, plenty of room with beautiful views. The landlord seemed very organized, there was plenty of helpful information in pamphlets in the home. There was an allotted parking space but some neighbor had parked their junky car in the spot so I had to find street parking which wasn't much of a problem. Be warned if you do this, though, the street cleaning days are different on different sides of the street and different from the adjoining block near the apartment. I got a 68 dollar ticket and wasn't very happy. This property is one where you'd probably want a car. It is not near a bunch of shops ( by San Francisco standards) so you'd have to walk down or up a hill about 5 or more blocks to get to things. It is a very nice neighborhood, I found it very enjoyable staying up there since I had lived in SF as a early 20 something and certainly never could have afforded or known anyone who could have afforded this area so it was new to me."

  • Home Away From Home

"I stayed in the cottage while my own home was under construction due to a flood. It literally has everything you need when you need everything... a perfect little home away from home. As a local, I'm very happy to know about it, and I will certainly recommend it to visiting family and friends."

  • Apartment is in great location, and much nicer than most vacation rentals we've ever stayed in!

"We really enjoyed our week in the apt. It is so nicely furnished, clean, and well equipped we felt right at home. The owners do everything to make certain renters have all info necessary. Location can't be better.....short walk to fishermen's wharf, Ferry Bldg., and only a block from the historic streetcar line that runs across town ( even gets you to AT & T park for ball games). Lots of restaurants, etc. in the neighborhood, plus ferry boats to Sausalito, Alcatraz, Angel Island, Oakland. There's no need to have a car with this location. We were sad to leave, but look forward to a return visit!"
