  • Lovely apartment in quiet neighbourhood near beach and park

"We loved staying in this apartment. The actual accommodation was very comfortable with everything we needed. The garden was beautiful, although we didn't spent much time in it. The neighbourhood was quiet, but was only a short walk to local shops and restaurants. Charmaine and Robert were the perfect hosts - helpful without getting in our way. A few tips: read the visitors book as there is lots of info in it (we only looked at it just before we left); get a MUNI pass on your phone if you are planning to use the bus a lot - it takes a while to get into the centre but there are a few good routes."

  • Convenient and Affordable

"Enjoyed the stay here overall. This place is situated in a great location to visit just about any main attraction in San Francisco either by the Muni bus or on foot. Check -in/-out was easy and the apartment was nice. The place was tidy but found the toilet seat dirty so I had to clean it. The information packet was extremely helpful and was much appreciated. In all, I would stay here again if I found myself visiting SF again."

  • The Ducks Nest

"We just spent 5 nights at this wonderful home. We needed 3 separate sleeping spaces and although this is a two bedroom there is a cozy daybed in the dining room, which can be closed off for privacy. The house is spotless! At every turn there are dining guides, instructions for use of the washer/dryer (so convenient), the Internet, TV, and a guest book. There are travel books and every household/personal need was easily satisfied. There are thick white towels, robes and toiletries! Actually no need to bring your hair dryer or shampoo it's all there ! We arrived a few hours early and my son in law was really feeling sick. No problem, Rob gave us early access! Oh and there is a garage, but you are only a block from the Golden Gate Park! Enjoy your stay!"

  • Great location, very responsible owner, well-equipped

"We travelled with our two young kids, without car rental. This place is beyond our expection and definitely we want to stay there again. The apartment at Lake street has great location, which is quiet and safe, close to a variety of grocery stores and restaurants, and easy access to public transportation, MUNI. Traffic on Lake street is not much, make it easy to walk around, even with stroller. At night, it is quiet and safe that I am not worried even when sometimes we got back quite late. Lake street is only one street north of the California street, on which California # 1 bus runs all the way east to downtown, and two streets north of Clement street, on which many grocery stores, either Chinese-style (New May Wah is the most popular one) or American style (Smart & Final), located. We even frequently went to nearby Trader joe's and Target, by taking MUNI. The owners, Matt and Linda are so kind and responsible. Whenever I had any question or ran into any trouble with TV-Cable, internet, or heater, they always helped us quickly. The apartment itself is well-equipped, making it easy for a family of four to stay there for an extended period of time. Overall we are very satisfied and surely would like to stay there again next time when we are in San Francisco."
