  • Beautiful house and great location

"This was the perfect place for our needs and a beautiful place to stay. The location was ideal for an easy walk to several restaurantsmall, bars and shopping. The house has been restored to perfection. Very comfortable and relaxing. We will definitely stay here when we come back"

  • Very nice home and perfect location for access to Lake City without being on the main street.

"Clean Nicely furnished All the things you need for your stay from bedding, bathing and cooking. Surroundings are very peaceful with outdoor seating, fire pit, picknicking or just watching nature. We saw wildlife every day, most of them included beautiful deer in the yard as well as in the meadow across the road. The only drawback of this property are the steep stairs, with no handrail to the second floor, that my husband found difficult. I had no difficulty."

  • Luxurious Cabin for Families or Other Groups

"My family loved this beautiful and comfortable vacation home. We especially liked the layout downstairs, where there are two large living areas with a dining area in between. If some are listening to music or watching movies in the main area, others can sit in the cozier room and read or do needlework, etc. Windows are everywhere with fabulous views and good lighting. The master bedroom & bath downstairs is fantastic (big soaking tub) & opens to a hall to the living room and to a back hallway leading to the laundryroom & kitchen (with the door left open to the hall it can provide an extra downstairs bathroom during the day). The laundryroom is really nice and the kitchen is a dream - unbelievably well equipped! The upstairs is a bit unusual with two different stairways: one leads to a big bedroom with a sink, and the other stairs lead to two smaller bedrooms & a bath. There is also a bathroom downstairs at the foot of the stairs. We went on a couple of day trips and tried some restaurants, but the most fun we had was cooking big breakfasts & several dinners in that nice kitchen! I would advise visitors to stop in a larger town before getting to Lake City and stock up on groceries & paper products, because, like many tourist towns, the two stores are small & over-priced with a less than impressive meat selection. However, people are very friendly! We also had a blast at the dining room table after dinner: playing cards, Mexican Train, and coloring in the popular adult coloring books:) We enjoyed the cabin as a family, but it would make a great house for party or church groups, as well. We only had five people, so it was wonderfully spacious, but the house would hold over twice that many."

  • Great home and location in Lake City

"The Lake City River House is a tranquil oasis. An short easy walk to the shops and restaurants. Lynn was great to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. Deer peeking in the windows and walking around the yard every day. Perfect location to take off for rafting in Gunnison or trips around the stunning Alpine Loop where we saw Moose, Bald Eagles and Big Horn Sheep. Thanks Lynn for your hospitality."
