  • Great Family Beach House

"This house is a perfect place to meet for a family reunion. Our daughters and their families from all over the US met us for a family get-together. We stayed here in 2014 and we came back. The house is amazing. Everyone loved the fantastic view. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. We took turns at cooking big dinners every night. If you need assistance just call Pam and Kelly. They will assist you ASAP. Watching the dolphins from the deck, sailing, riding the waves or just enjoying the uncrowded beach was worth the long trip. Also there are plenty of beach chairs, toys and towels for your use. We highly recommend Guana Kai for a family vacation."

  • Truly a slice of paradise

"First off I need to say that Jim and Judy are just tops when it comes to providing just what you need to make a trip to Amelia Island. Their duplex is stocked with everything you'll need to make your trip and time on the island as relaxed and rested as could be possible. Clean as a whistle, close to the beach(It's so close I walked barefoot), walking distance to Main beach park and about 5 minutes by car to Downtown Fernandina beach. All this for a little over $100 a night? Pelican Palms is the best deal on the beach for sure, no doubt."

  • Marvelous Estate/Retreat

"Are you ready to escape to the beauty of “Old” Florida. The way Florida used to look before strip malls and concrete covered over her history and majesty. Then you have chosen the right place with this rental. It begins in the front yard which is draped in giant Live Oaks, wearing their moss like a long beautiful mane of hair, testaments of strength and time. You are greeted with gentle breezes off the lake in the morning, as you have your coffee on the large covered veranda. You will glance across the lake, and see the white blooms on the lily pads, dancing in the mid-morning sun. The sandhill cranes fly in to feed on the acorns and along the water’s edge, tall and prehistoric looking. The blue heron, white egret, and mallard ducks, all make their visits to the premise, a wonder to behold. Each evening you will be greeted with amazing sunsets, dining on the table at the dock as the water reflects the brilliant pinks and oranges of the setting sun. You will watch the fish skip across the surface of the lake and if you are lucky, you will see the frogs hopping and swimming in and around the grasses along the bank. Drink your wine or cast a line as you enjoy the end of your day. The house is roomy and comfortable and evokes images of the Southern lifestyle of yesteryear. Privacy abound and extremely peaceful, at least in the month of April. The kitchen is very large and comfortable to work in. The bed was most comfortable though I only used 1 of the 10 offered. There is a TV in every room but I was so fascinated with the outdoors, I did not even turn one on. AT&T cell service was 4 bars all week and internet worked great. Things to Note: The a/c is pre-programmed to stay at 74 degrees Fahrenheit or above which can make sleeping uncomfortable for some. I might suggest bringing some fans, they also help with keeping mosquitos away on the porch. Bring your bug spray or fan, this is Florida. The sign marking the house is parallel with the street so easy to miss."

  • Great stay!

"Fantastic location, clean condo. The view is beautiful and you can hear the waves. It is an old building, but has been well taken care of. Condo has some updates and is clean. It isn't fancy, but it was a great price. We would absolutely stay there again. The only negative is that the beds are not very comfortable. The bed in the master is very squeaky. Updated mattresses would make it 5 stars for me. 😊"
