The villa was very nicely decorated. Everything in the place was updated, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again next time we’re in Tally.

My husband and I live in Louisiana and work on the water. We wanted a peace and quiet getaway. We were looking for much needed downtime. This was perfect! We were able to bring our puppies and they had freedom to explore and they did! The property is amazing! Ann absolutely understands the comforts that make a stay welcoming. The hospitality was beyond what we could have imagined. The first morning as we sat on the porch overlooking the lake, we knew this was the medicine the doctor ordered. Simply perfect!

Nice place to stay. We were looking for a place close to Tallahassee for parents weekend. This was a little further than what we wanted, but not that far. It turned out ok because we ended up taking a drive to the Saint Mark's lighthouse, as well. I can say, if you're looking for a quiet place to stay, this is it.

Lovely stay.... on a beautiful river. Saw lots of deer, manatee, mullet jumping, and osprey. Enjoyed our walks in the neighborhood. Friendly neighbors and the dog loved the new area! We took our boat and fished every day out in the Gulf....lots of hungry fish in those parts! We did eat out which was fun, but most meals were made inside in the well-appointed kitchen. Bed and pillows were good too. The house is very clean. Thank you!

We had such a special long weekend at this Crawfordville home in the woods. The home was tucked into a secluded tree covered area. The home had so many private balconies and porches that we spent most our time outside, and half the times it felt like being in the jungle of Costa Rica. The home was comfortable and accommodating. My partner is a chef and loved cooking in the fully stocked kitchen - we just brought our favorite foods to cook everything else was there. There were so many special areas to relax, read, or nap. There is the river a short 5 minute walk away and a canoe you can use if you feel adventurous. I cannot wait to come back. Do yourself a favor, book this home for the perfect escape in the woods!

the owner made everything and beyond to make us feel at home in this super comfy house. the location is unique in this unknown part of Florida. our days on the wakulla river were amazing as yes we did see plenty of manatees passing by thank you again for making our stay so wonderful

We chose this property because of its proximity to St. Marks NWR and Wakulla Springs State Park and were not disappointed! The area was very private with a few neighboring homes, felt safe, and while we were presumably "in the middle of nowhere" we were also a very short ride from Tallahassee, restaurants, beautiful natural areas, a grocer, and restaurants. Perfect location! There was one minor snafu the owners found with the TV just before we were to check-in and they were very transparent, honest, and courteous. Their integrity and kindness alone are enough to make me stay there again! The owners also have a great sense of humor, even if they are Gator fans, and reading through the house rules, check-in/out procedures, and other information was hilarious (and effective). PROS: - Very clean and comfortable - Great location + safe - Pet friendly with a fenced backyard - Well-stocked with dishes, cookery, utensils, etc. - Washer and dryer (dryer is even more efficient than mine at home!) - Good cell service (Verizon) - Plenty of parking - Set back in the woods (very private) CONS: - Rural internet was very slow -- too slow for streaming (no fault of the owners) - No dishwasher (not a big deal for us, but could be for others) - No vacuum (we like to tidy up when we bring our dog) BOTTOM LINE: We would not hesitate to stay here again! It's a sweet, comfortable hideaway with exceptional hosts. Highly recommended. Go Dawgs!
