  • Exceptionally clean!

"We were very happy with our two-week stay here at this cabin. Mike is great at showing us everything upon arrival. The home is very clean and very well cared for. The hiking trail is well maintained and beautiful. Most of my kids could all do the trail, but it was challenging for the younger kids. (the two year old would not be able to do it, obviously). The youngest kid we had on the trail was 6 years old. We enjoyed playing in the river, using the shooting range and fishing (though not successful...no fish). We also enjoyed the downtown Ellijay shops, and really loved the downtown Blue Ridge shops (that took us two days to see them all). While here for two weeks, we also went tubing, rented a boat on a near-by lake, went to the outlet mall about an hour and a half away, painted pottery at a cute shop in downtown Ellijay, and had a great time! Plenty to do in this area. Very nice trip. Highly recommend this cabin if you are looking for a place to stay in Ellijay."

  • Wonderful Getaway With Family

"We would highly recommend this clean, well-maintained property in the gated Coosawatee River Resort. The house was spacious and included modern conveniences, such as WiFi (with excellent signal and bandwidth) and many television channels plus DVD. The porch and deck run all around the house and includes a covered back deck with fans/lights, two picnic tables and a gas grill. The upstairs bedroom also includes its own covered private deck opening to a wonderful mountain view. My family of four saw several deer and a turkey from the deck in the mornings and evenings. We also enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen and playing family games at the large dining room table. Our children enjoyed the outdoor pool nearby and also swam in the indoor pool and played basketball at the resort's rec center. My son, who runs cross country for his school, was able to get his daily training runs on a trail at a public park nearby. We also enjoyed several nearby apple houses, which were stocked with fresh peaches, vegetables, and many sweet baked goods. The only negative aspect of the trip was when it was time to go - I could have easily stayed another week in this relaxing hide-away in the north Georgia mountains. We will be recommending this to family and friends and look forward to returning. The owner provided great communication and had wonderful directions regarding the property."

  • Great character and impressionable attention to details

"A very wonderful experience for families with children, there are many sites to see inside (and outside) this home away from home. My family and I definitely recommend exploring the outdoors often in with Toccoa tubing rentals, horseback riding at the Adventure trails, taking the scenic railway, or just hiking through the backyard. This cabin really does mirror the town's character with it's many relaxing and adorable amenities such as the hot tub, the hammocks, and the air hockey table. We will definitely be back soon!"

  • Great stay!

"We had a great time staying at Laurel Waters. The house was great and large enough for our group of eleven. The outside fireplace & hot tub were a special treat after tubing in the river. We will definitely be back! Thanks Julee! You were a pleasure to work with."
