  • Beauty beyond belief, the ocean at your fingertips

"This was our first trip to Hawaii and it couldn't have been more perfect! This condo at Bay Shores was spectacular! You have your own private parking space, the views are breathtaking, You walk through the door and your immediately hit by the soft breeze of the tradewinds and the sound of the ocean, You sit on your private lanai having breakfast seeing the sunrise while watching the sailboats and kayakers pass by,. You will find everything you need to make a gourmet meal in the kitchen, beautifully decorated and as comfortable as home, The location superb! Walking distance to the downtown area where you will find the farmers market, entertainment and local vendors and shopping abound. You are just a short drive from Volcano National Park where you can see an active volcano, minutes away from amazing waterfalls and botanical gardens.. You have onsite laundry, excercise room with sauna and a heated pool, it just doesn't get any better! Our only wish was that we could have stayed longer but work was calling...If we are fortunate enough to return there's no question as to where we would stay! I would give this place a 10 star rating if possible!!"

  • A truly marvelous oasis...

"I stayed there for a little over a month. The studio was amazing. Tucked away on a corner of the property it was quiet, clean, modern and well appointed. Bed was super and the best I've ever slept on in a B&B. The small patio outside was perfect for relaxing or eating and overlooks the beautiful garden. Property location is close to all of the essentials. Shopping center with groceries, pizza, Chinese food, etc was 5 minutes away. Walmart for basic essentials was another 2 minutes further. Beaches and town were around a 10 minute drive and the Volcano was about 40 minutes away. Can't be beat for a stay in the Hilo area! Thanks Diana for being such a gracious host."

  • Beautiful house and property in a secluded area

"We were there in March and the breeze kept the cottage at a pleasant temperature without heat or AC. Showers were hot, dishes in kitchen were sufficient. You can see the ocean and Mauna Kea summit on a clear day. Beautiful flowers around the cottage. The driveway is gravel, so make sure your vehicle can handle that. We didn't interact much with the owners, but Marcy was polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place."

  • Comfortable & Beatufully Appointed with Gracious Host

"We arrived at dusk so we could not see just how beautiful our little studio, lanai and yard really were. The studio never felt small or cramped. There were bouquets inside and out, a basket of bread, fruit & bananas as well as a variety of condiments & spices in the kitchen. The bath was also supplied with high quality shampoo, soap & moisturizer. Boogie boards, snorkel masks & beach chairs were hung on the wall on the lanai. I always read reviews when I use VRBO and I find specific details like these helpful. The local beach is sweet and if you want something bigger Richardson Park is worth the short drive. Walking into town isn't too far if you are a willing to walk for about 20 minutes at a good pace. None of these details can come close to describing how gracious and helpful Claudia was. She was available immediately the few times we needed to call and went above and beyond to help us. When we come back to Hilo we know where we will stay! Thank you Claudia."
