  • Perfect stay!

"My fiance and I stayed at Della and Max's property in October for a few days. The rental was perfect! When we walked in, there were beautiful freshly cut flowers from the property in a vase on the table and 2 fresh leis. Everything in the listing is 100% accurate. The property is about 10 minutes from downtown Kailua Kona. It is up the mountain at about 1500 ft elevation, which is an ideal temperature for inside the rental. There is no A/C, but it is not needed at this elevation. We actually got slightly cold at night and had to use the comforter! Perfect sleeping temps. (we like sleeping in cold) The rental is located in a very safe and quiet area, and it is gated. I am very glad I went with homeaway rentals instead of the usual hotel stay. The oven and stove worked perfectly, and there were a good amount of dishes, utensils, cups, etc. for anything that you might need. The coffee maker worked great. The bedroom had windows on 2 sides, allowing for a great breeze. I worked a couple of hours during our stay using the internet, and the internet is high speed cable internet. It worked perfectly! There are 2 tv's both with cable. One in the bedroom and one in the living room. There is a dvd player in the living room with a large quantity of dvd's in the tv stand. My fiance used the washer/dryer downstairs, and it worked great. There are great ocean views from the bedroom and living room windows. The rental was very very clean also! Della also provided limes and papayas grown on her property. Della and Max were very nice people, and were very welcoming. We would definitely recommend their rental unit and would stay again in the future."

  • chance of a lifetime

"Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We my family (17 members) my children and their children. Such a great opportunity! I give praise to the Lord and thank HIM greatly! We had a wonderful stay and pool was a plus. We all slept comfortably and were comfortable. We especially love the pool and adult time at the Jacuzzi. A few minor things the toaster is a four slot toaster but only two slots work and we needed the four slots to work. Also the rule to throw everything out of the frig (food) but good eggs, good water etc. Thought the rule should be leave what can be salvaged not leftovers but good food eggs, packages that are not opened, perhaps the cleaning staff can make use of it. Frig ice maker didn't work a the bed upstairs needed to be a king bed not twin size. However, all in all we had a great stay and a wonderful time!"

  • Nice house

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself is very well appointed with a couple of exceptions. The living and sleeping spaces are very comfortable, everything is very clean and attractive, the view of the ocean four miles away and the sunset is stunning. The kitchen is very useful for the casual cook. Serious epicures will want to bring their own knives, graters, and aprons (a favorite shirt is now ruined). The location is good if you don't mind driving every day and a bit of traffic noise."

  • Secluded and wonderful

"Quiet, private, welcoming, COMFORTABLE, with a wonderful view, the house felt like home the minute we walked through the door. The house is located in a relatively dense residential neighborhood, but is so cleverly sited and landscaped that no other home is visible (or audible) from inside the house or from the many fabulous outside spaces. The owner is extremely responsive and thoughtful. I can't say enough good things. Our visit to the Big Island was twice as delightful because we stayed in Cole's lovely home."
