  • Awesome Experience

"This was my first VRBO experience and I was very impressed!! I stayed in unit 1007. From the first contact with Kai, through my arrival and departure experience with Thon, this was a great experience. This unit exceeded my expectations! The unit was immaculate and a perfect for size for 1-3 people. I loved having the kitchenette, which featured a full sized stove, refrigerator and microwave. There was lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. They supplied us with ample bath towels as well as beach towels. The bed and pillows were okay, which obviously is going to come down to individual preference (I am picky and rarely find a hotel bed that I sleep well on). The facilities were also great. I used the pool area several times. It should be noted that from 8am-9am, the pool is only supposed to be open for lap swimming and individual aerobics. Not a problem for me, but families with young children should be aware. I also had lunch at the little cafe on the recreation deck and it was quite delicious. The bbq area is also really nice. I didn't use it on this visit, but have stayed at this hotel in the past and enjoyed using them with family. I had a car and used the parking garage, which was easy to access, and had plenty of space available, close to the elevators in my tower. There was a Safeway up the road about 1-1.5 miles (on Kapahuluu Ave). The beach was an easy walk two blocks down. Also lots of places to eat or grab a snack in the general walking area. I did eat dinner one night at Side Street Inn up on Kapahuluu Ave and they had really good local food. I would definitely recommend renting from this company again and plan to use them again for future travels to Hawaii. I spent considerable time researching and looking at all of my options and this was the best value for my money. If I had tried to stay in this hotel going through traditional venues, I would have easily spent another $50-$75 per day on rental, resort fees and parking."

  • Fantastic View

"Clean and nicely decorated with a great view of the harbor, ocean and Ala Moana Park. Easy beach access and for us easy walking distance to all of Waikiki. Public transportation picks you up right in front of the hotel if your legs are too tired from swimming in the ocean or pools all day. There is valet parking at the hotel and some less expensive metered parking out back but not convenient. We found a happy medium and used the multi floored covered parking garage next door above the Red Lobster. They give a discounted 24 hour rate to guests of the Ilikai & Modern Hotels. Loved our stay here at the Patrick's condo. Bob and Sherri Keven"

  • Direct Ocranfront/Beachfront Waikiki

"First time in Hawaii, loved being right off water! This Condo is literally 2nd floor of this building and on the beach. People watching from the lanai is awesome because it is on the boardwalk and the fireworks on a Friday nights is great from the lanai as well. The beachfront provides awesome ocean swimming and there are huge turtles swinging right with you. On calm days, you can snorkel to see the fish and turtles. Checking in was easy, so was checkout. One of the only complaints I would have on this condo is that you couldn't leave any food on counters because you will get tiny ants. They provided raid but the face you had to keep literally everything in fridge was annoying. I bought disinfecting wipes and wiped up constantly after good preparation yo keep them at bay but still needed to store everything in fridge. Also...the beach restaurant smell got quite strong during the hours open but night was better. You get used to it but it's too bad it's right below this unit. The air conditioning had trouble keeping up unless you pulled blinds off lanai during peak hot times but we kept the bedroom closed and separate air running in there so it was always cool for sleeping. This condo has indoor parking spot for a rental and this is a nice feature where spots are hard to come by. Also.....the use of neighbouring hotel pool and towels and use of the exercise room is great feature. This condo is very close to restaurants, bars, attractions, etc."

  • Paradise Penthouse

"Can’t wait to get back! We arrived late afternoon & were treated to a beautiful sunset as far as the eye could see. The Penthouse is on the 33rd & 34th floor & the views are unobstructed, beautiful & breathtaking. We knew that we had made the perfect choice renting this Penthouse soon as we unpacked. We were on line in minutes, eating our favorite meal, watching our favorite show with the whole family in one beautiful Penthouse. We had a great kitchen, washer dryer TV’s & a view in every room. It was like Mark said just bring your bags & a smile & everything else was there for us. Having our own Jacuzzi & private deck on the 34th floor made for very special memories under the stars that will last forever. We walked everywhere in Waikiki since the Penthouse in minutes away from everything. The shops were open until 11:00 p. m. & there was a restaurant for everyone’s pallet within minutes of the Penthouse. We took Mark’s advice about where the best hikes are & what attractions were the best to see. He made us feel like locals since we knew where to go, what to eat & how to get the best possible deal on everything. It’s like I said Can’t wait to get back. I want this same time & Penthouse reserved for next year. Mahalo Mark for a wonderful vacation."
