  • Family Vacation

"I am sad to think that someone new is taking our place at this Cabin/Lake Home...It was an amazing week. Lot's of great memories were made. This Lake Home is incredible, so spacious, open to enjoy all's company, but plenty of get-a-way space if need be. I did not come a cross anything I needed in the kitchen that was not available. The Foosball and bumper pool were a great fill in and was used a lot, then there is the bean bag toss that was also used. The fire pit is a nice area, the old chairs by the pit were amazingly comfortable and very unique. The fishing was OK.... we caught Bass, Northern, and walleye. You can catch plenty of pan fish, but never caught any that we considered large enough to keep. We did discover that trolling the shoreline is the way to go...we did catch some nice Bass at the little island right out from the cabin. Leeches and worms were the choice of the week for the fish.... and of course the white twister tails. We did do some night fishing from the dock, caught some nice bull heads and a dog fish, that was all our Grandson was after and he caught one... was nice to watch his happy dance. We were lucky enough to be night fishing during the meteor shower, it was an amazing show, we probably seen 20 shooting objects in the night sky. The town of Aitkin will have all you need, its about 15 minutes from the cabin. They have a nice grocery store and anything else you would need. We did go to Bingo at the Legion on Tuesday night (adults only) I won 66.00, had a few drinks...it was fun. I want to thank the the owners for opening up their great home to us for the week.... it truly was an amazing place.... The Tipton's Cedar Rapids, Iowa"

  • Great time at the lake house

"We enjoyed it all, the view, the clean water, the private grounds, the fully equipped house. Everything was as stated in the ad. Big kitchen, with all needed items, clean and comfy beds, large living area with view of lake. The boats and kayak provided were a good way to tour the clear lake. The fish also were willing to bite, my family enjoyed them also .Crosslake provided many things to do, nice shops, good food places, and a nice supermarket. We grilled, fried fish and cooked inside, also had a bonfire and made smores. What a awesome time at an awesome place. Thanks Dick for sharing your place."

  • Great place to stay!

"My mom, sisters and friends really enjoyed staying at this lovely house. Everything was clean, and it was so spacious. The views from the big picture windows are amazing, we even got to see a bald eagle, up close as he hunted for fish in the lake. The manager was quick to respond to fix a minor issue. Alexandria is a nice town with more to explore than I originally thought, we were busy everyday for the week we stayed there. The Central Lakes trail was great for getting in long walks everyday. Would love to come back and stay here again sometime."

  • Luxury traveler

"We stayed for 2 weeks, second year in a row. This is an Architectual Digest type property. 5 star for luxury travelers. For a lake home, even has a theater room with bar & pool table, gourmet kitchen. Owners are fabulous and accommodating people, will return as this is not a "Cabin" at the lake!"
