  • Hidden Cove is a wonderful, peaceful place.

"We spent two wonderful weeks at Hidden Cove. The views of the lake are fantastic. The condo is very clean and comfortable and we were able to do several meals in the well-equipped kitchen. There is a path to a hidden cove on the lake. The way down to the actual beach is not easy but certainly worth the effort. We enjoyed sitting on the rocks overlooking the lake and just taking in the views. The property is very peaceful and there is a walking path which takes you to the Lutsen Resort along the lake. There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area and Grand Marais is only 20 minutes away. Sandi Furlow is a wonderful hostess and we enjoyed meeting her and hearing more about the history of the area. She is also a wealth of knowledge regarding shopping, hiking and other activities. If you are planning a trip to the north shore Hidden Cove would be a wonderful place to stay."

  • First Class

"We travel with a large family group everywhere! Our long term planning is about one week in advance so when we decided to visit the Lake Superior area with our German relatives we found the lodging reservations challenging to say the least. We found this property and the owner went out of his way, about 100 miles, to make this work for us. Both my wife and I work in the travel industry so we have a unique perspective on accommodations. This property is First Class in everyway. From location to comfort you will not be disappointed! Buy a cinnamon roll at "Tobies" on the way up!"

  • Our Favorite Place to Stay

"My husband and I just got back from a wonderful, relaxing vacation at Rick and Chip Storlie's vacation home. Not only does it have beautiful views of Lake Superior, but it is close enough to the lake for falling asleep while listening to the waves crashing against the shoreline. The home was very clean with a well equipped kitchen if you want to prepare your own meals. (Our one tiny complaint was that none of the knives were very sharp, so it's easy to slip and cut yourself. You might want to bring your own sharp knife or a knife sharpener.) This home is only a short drive away from many wonderful hiking trails, which we took advantage of. We also had some lovely meals at restaurants in Grand Marais. Don't stay so busy, however, that you run out of time to just relax and enjoy the views from the large windows and two decks at the home. Every evening we would sit out on the deck with our son and daughter-in-love and talk about how lovely the view was while enjoying a glass of wine. We would watch the stars come out and have fun looking at the different constellations. One evening we even had an amazing time watching a lightening show over the lake...something we will always remember and talk about. This home was plenty big for all four of us to spread out, if we wanted some quiet time and needed our own space for awhile. We also appreciate the fact that our puppy could vacation with us. We kept her on a leash at all times in the house and crated her if we left her alone. Having a vacation home owner that supports people who want to travel with their dog and trusts them to make sure nothing is ruined in this beautiful home is quite special."

  • Great Place to Get Away

"Awesome place to just relax and break away for a little while. Our family (and dog) enjoyed the cabin and the area the entire weekend. Listening to the waves crashing on the shoreline made sleeping in very easy. Cascade River State Park has great hiking trails and awesome views and is only 3 miles away from the cabin. We had a great day trip there one day and enjoyed Grand Marais the next day. Can't wait to go back!"
