  • The perfect house for a large NYC getaway

"A group of friends wanted a NYC upstate escape, and Reuben's house came at the right time. It was absolutely perfect for our large group! The view is gorgeous, just wait & see. Callicoon is very cute, we loved walking around, the farmers market, etc. Reuben was a perfect host, very communicative and friendly. Thanks for everything and we'll definitely be back!"

  • Highly Recommend

"WHAT WAS GREAT -The view, the seclusion, the fishing, the ATV riding! My wife and two daughters (11 and 13), had a blast. The authentic cabin style house and the area (untouched by modern times) is exactly what we had hoped when we booked the place. I had skied in the area a lot in the 90s, but was looking for a remote and relaxing getaway in the summer that was less than 2 hours away from our home and this was it!!! There is an private home made ice cream place a few miles away, Arlo's Country Store and Tavern about 10 miles away (toward Elk Mountain, which is only 20 minutes away), and Chet's Place (great bar and great place to eat overlooking a lake) a few more miles away. There are a few other places to eat as well that make you feel like you are away from all the hustle and bustle. Just a mile or two away from the cabin is the center of town that has a supermarket in case you need anything, and a mile or two further is the speedway, they have races every Friday night on a dirt track. We would definitely return! WHAT I RECOMMEND TO THE OWNER -Would have been nice if someone met us at the cabin to get us "familiar" with the place and the land. -Would have been nice to have some deck furniture (upper level and lower level). -Looks like the place had not been rented in awhile, so would have been nice if the place was re-cleaned before we had arrived (lots of dead flies and spiders upon check in). Also, the refrigerator was turned off, we had to turn it on, and it takes a long time to get cool, not good when you are staying 2 nights, right?"

  • Great place to get away with some friends! Quiet surroundings with great views of the stars!

"The house can comfortably fit one family and has some nice land to sit out on and BBQ on. Had some trouble finding places to go close by so if you want to go away and just relax around the house with some friends, this is the place."

  • Cute cabin with easy access to the Delaware, beautiful area!

"Cabin was very nice, clean and well supplied. It was located on a nice quiet street. To get to the river, it is just a very short walk on the property. There is a barbeque and fire pit available, charcoal and firewood were supplied. We stayed during an extremely hot week, so appreciated the cabin's air conditioning. The little village of Deposit was just a few minutes away, we ate in the restaurant Butterfields twice, the food was very good....would definitely recommend. We booked the cabin with just a few days notice, the transaction was easy. The owner was easy to reach and helpful. Would recommend to others and will definitely be staying again."
