  • A Most Welcoming Home!

"We spent 3 days enjoying this property with 18 family members as we gathered to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday. This home welcomes you as soon as you open the kitchen door to the home! It is clean, very spacious, and very well appointed! Appreciated the Keurig coffee makers! Even a sweet little wooden toddler table for little ones to be able to play or eat at. The owner was so pleasant to work with, too. We had access to propane grills outside, an outdoor fire pit which we were able to roast hot dogs and make s'mores after sledding on the property. Two full kitchens was a plus with all the other cooking we did! We all felt so comfortable with our accommodations! Plenty of towels! A spectacular location to enjoy winter beauty in January! It was such a memorable time for the whole family, but especially for our "Octogenarian"! It was her celebration weekend in a very special home! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We all would love to be able to return to this home again."

  • A fantastic location and a great lake cottage!

"We loved our stay! LOCATION I grew up in the Chautauqua Lake region before moving away so I knew getting a house in Bemus Point would be the best location on the lake, as Bemus is full of great shops, bars, restaurants, music, and more. Our week there confirmed that, and we had a great time walking and biking into town each day (about 15-20 min. walk or 5-10 min by bike). We had kids with us, so all the side walks were greatly appreciated, especially since we were teaching my nephew how to ride a bike! Bemus is super safe too, we left our bikes out at the house and never locked them up in town (although I probably would have locked them if we biked into town at night). Another perk about the location that was particularly great was that we were just 2 minutes walk from the best breakfast spot on the lake, The Bemus Point Inn, and about 5 minutes walk from the convenient store/pizza shop/liquor store, called Bridgeview. COTTAGE The cottage is average size, has a small kitchen which might make it hard to cook for big families if you're not using the grill outside, but the rooms were all ample sized, plenty of seating, and a nice sunroom to relax in. Parking for 4 cars. The cottage is super clean and has a retro lake cottage appeal to it. The new bathroom upstairs is amazing and right out of a Pinterest photo or magazine. It has a clawfoot tub, a sink made from a sewing machine table, and fantastic decor. My ONLY complaint about the cottage itself is that there are no ceiling fans in any of the rooms, so it may be wise to bring your own fans if you're staying in the hot summer months. YARD The backyard was a nice size with two picnic tables, a fire pit, and is well shaded which was great for all the kids we had! There is also a grill, which made cooking for all of us much easier. The dock was nice, but unfortunately there is a good bit of seaweed in Chautauqua Lake which burnt up our boat's water pump. My advice is make sure you go into reverse at least a few times while dredging out of the seaweed line. Lastly, if you're looking for an uninterrupted view of the lake, this house may not be it as it looks out onto the Chautauqua Lake Bridge, and you can hear the traffic when outside. We just wanted the lake access and this house was a great value for the size, amenities, etc. so we were not bothered by the bridge! All in all, we had a fantastic trip and we definitely plan to rent here again! Stay here, you will not be disappointed!"

  • Fantastic!

"The cottage was much more than we expected; clean, well stocked, appointed with pictures, etc... that were perfect, two brothers in the area who took care of any incident or question, a GREAT dock & fire pit and the best porch I have ever seen - three walls of sliding windows and a 6' sliding door, all with screens. Rent the cottage and expect to be amazed!"

  • Excellent Getaway

"We stayed for a week, and the condo had everything we could have asked for. The location was convenient, close to many attractions. The living conditions and utilities are very good. We enjoyed our stay here and we will probably be coming back again."
