  • Very welcoming, relaxing, and cozy!

"Being NYC dwellers, we decided to host friends in the Hamptons for Thanksgiving. We were a large group of 9 adults (working professionals) and the house exceeded expectations by far. The instructions we were given to enter the house were easy to follow without a problem, and we were greeted with such a lovely welcome message with bottle of wine and Godiva cookies - so thoughtful!!! The kitchen was well stocked with appliances including blender, hand mixer, and waffle maker, as well as kitchen utensils like spatulas, tongs, etc., much needed for cooking Thanksgiving dinner. The bbq outside also had a full propane tank, which we also used. The gas fireplace in the living room kept us all nice and toasty. The bonus room was much appreciated for poker games late into the night. The house itself was a design straight out of HGTV (the bathroom tiles!). It's about a 10-15 minute drive to Stop n Shop for groceries, as well as local restaurants which was super convenient. It's also about a 30-40 minute drive to Montauk - recommend checking out Montauk Brewing Co brewery! Overall, we were extremely sad to leave such a beautiful house. We hope to visit the Hamptons again soon! Thank you Marilyn for such a lovely stay!! I cannot say enough good things about our trip and stay :)"

  • Amazing Property | Great Experience

"Our stay at this property far surpassed our expectations on a number of levels. First, the property itself is remarkable - the photos online almost don't do it justice. The owner was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. She even brought over fresh organic produce for our stay! I would very highly recommend this property and hope to be staying there again in the near future!"

  • Beautiful House - Great Week

"This spacious house easily accommodated two families of four, including four older teens. With its six ample sized bedrooms, everyone had their own room. This immaculate house is relatively new and was built with high end finishes, so there was nothing "quirky" about the house, and nothing was worn or in need of replacement. Every bedroom was on the same floor upstairs, and either had its own modern bathroom or a shared Jack and Jill bathroom, and each had a flat screen television. The master suite was spacious with a king sized bed and luxurious bathroom. The large eat-in kitchen had high end appliances and was well equipped with all the pots, pans, knives and other kitchen utensils you could possibly need. Making meals for eight people in that kitchen was a pleasure, and with the kitchen open to the family room, you never felt removed from the action even when cooking. The house is on a large private wooded lot with a beautiful backyard and pool area. Outside the family room was a large stone patio equipped with a covered dining table, and beyond that a large sitting area with incredibly comfortable furniture, a high top bar table with four seats, and of course a barbecue which we used most nights. Between the patio and pool area was a lawn with plenty of space to play soccer or throw a frisbee. The enclosed pool area was perfect with plenty of loungers and chairs for all. The pool was the perfect temperature all week and had rafts and floats (we brought four pool noodles and left them as a gift to the house). The pool house, equipped with a bathroom, sink and refrigerator, meant that there was no need to walk back to the house for a cold beer or to use the bathroom. Everything you needed was just a few steps away. Also, in the unfinished basement is a full sized pool table which kept the kids entertained most nights. The only "con" to the house is that there is only one "master suite", so if like us, you are two families traveling together, one couple is going to have a better room than the other. One of the other bedrooms has its own en suite bathroom, but only has a full size bed. As a rental house I would suggest the owner put either a queen or king size bed in that bedroom to reduce the inequity if two families are travelling together. The other three bedrooms each has a queen bed and the sixth bedroom has two twins. This is a great house with a very responsive owner and I highly recommend it."

  • Paradise

"August of 2016, it was our pleasure to live at this beautiful farmhouse for two weeks. We are a family of three generations with two dogs. This property was the perfect setting for our time together in the Hamptons. Location is a big plus for this property. We walked & biked into town, walked to Three Mile Harbor & explored the trails in the surrounding nature preserves. By car, it's a short drive to the beaches & neighboring towns. Our favorite restaurant, Nick & Toni's, is down the road. The main house comfortably slept our family of eight. All mattresses & linens were clean & in good condition. Four of the five bedrooms have private baths. Those four private baths each had a roomy shower & plenty of towels. While none of the bedrooms have closets, there are plenty of hooks on the walls of each room with hangers provided for hanging clothing. I'd like to note, that the rooms on the main floor of the house are on varying levels that require a step or two, or in some cases a half step to access. This was a bit of a challenge for our family members of 90+ years with failing vision. Luckily, no accidents. The dining room has a large table & there were evenings when we seated as many as fourteen. The fully stocked kitchen & outdoor grill made preparing meals enjoyable. The indoor living room is cozy with comfortable seating, fireplace, TV & offers wonderful views of the fabulous backyard. The backyard is totally fenced, which was great for our dogs. The outdoor living space on the back patio overlooks the beautifully landscaped property. We enjoyed all hours of the day on that outdoor patio. It was very relaxing to watch the hummingbirds & butterflies at work on the beautiful flowers & fruit trees. Very zen!! The salt water pool & spa are located at the opposite end of the yard. They are fenced in & landscaped for privacy. The pool area offered a good combo of sunny & shady areas with plenty of lounge chairs. The pool is large & beautiful. An additional bonus is the pool house located near the pool. It is a tiny cottage featuring a king loft, two single beds on the main floor with a full bath & kitchenette. It was the perfect place to sleep additional guests. The property owner is absolutely delightful. She promptly responded to any questions we had before & after our arrival, was extremely generous with check-in & check-out times& kept in touch to assure we had everything we needed. With much gratitude we offer thanks to her for sharing her paradise."
