  • SKI 5 House for Family Reunion

"We just rented the SKI 5 house for a family reunion over a long weekend and had a blast. Great location with lovely views of the lake and a unique floor plan (with 2 kitchens) and bedrooms on both levels. Loved the screened porch on the top level!! Had a BBQ one night using the deck on the lower level for the grills and the large kitchen downstairs for food prep with our group spread out all over the family room and dining area. I would have given a 5 star rating if the house was cleaner. Needs a good "deep clean" a few times a season in my opinion (as well as regular cleanings after each group of renters departs). Also, we used our own grills because the two provided by the owner are in very bad shape (really need to be replaced)."

  • Perfect House for Us!

"We had a wonderful time! The house was perfect for us and our kids that ranged from 10 - 17. The bedroom configuration met our needs perfectly. The teenagers made great use of the space downstairs. The master downstairs has a queen and a twin plus a flat screen TV hung on the wall. They loved hanging out in there, playing their Xbox and watching movies. There was a second TV downstairs too, so the kids were able to watch different things. The game room was fabulous! Hours and hours of fun playing pool, ping pong, and foosball plus a roulette wheel! The house has great insulation so we had peace and quiet upstairs while they had fun downstairs. There are two living areas upstairs, which allowed us to spread out. I was able to set up my laptop and work quietly in the front living room, which had very comfortable furniture. The wifi worked great! The kitchen was stocked very adequately! We have never stayed in a rental that had everything we needed before. Having a second refrigerator in the laundry room helped out tremendously! It was wonderful to be back in the cove. Though the bottom of the lake was muddy, the kids enjoyed swimming there at the dock and feeding the ducks. We also caught a few blue gills while fishing off the dock. The neighbors are FABULOUS! When we had boat trouble on our next to the last day, the neighbors across the canal were kind enough to tow us to the boat ramp. To add to our bad day, our pickup truck had a dead battery, so the neighbor beside us quickly came to our rescue. We could not have done it without them and were so grateful for their kindness. SUPER nice people! The yard was big and provided room for us to set up our badminton net and cornhole boards. The lake was busy on the weekends, but during the week we felt like we had the lake to ourselves. When dragging kids behind the boat we didn't have to worry about other boats getting to close to them. They also enjoyed the nearby sandbar. We will definitely recommend this property for anyone wanting to relax and have a great time on Lake Gaston. If you have kids or if you are vacationing with a big crowd, this house is the best!"

  • Amazing Cottage from the Inside Out!

"The Lily Pad Cottage is just stunning on the inside as it is on the outside. The interior is colorful and full of life, it just gives off this vibrant vibe. The master bedroom has the best views ever, you’d wake up pull the curtain and you have this amazing view of the dock, the trees, the shoreline and the blue Heron that paid us a visit almost every day and stood gracefully on one leg in the morning mist! The little windows with the cute wooden shutters gave a nice touch to all the rooms and views of the fresh green lawn too. There is a room with a Hawaiian theme perfectly decorated, I don’t have kids yet, but I’m sure that this room would be every girl’s dream to stay in! We’re into fishing so we spent most of our time on the spacious comfortable dock that’s only a few feet away from the deck through a perfectly paved pathway with a very gentle slope. For those who like boating, this is the boaters heaven. We couldn’t fish during the day from all the boating with cheering teenagers and proud parents teaching their kids to water ski. It was fun to watch though! Then when it would get dark, it’s just one catfish after the other! We lost count! and tons of sunfish too before dark. Tom is the best to deal with, he was always accessible and helpful and was genuinely interested in making sure that everything was perfect for us during our stay. And he did make everything perfect! We’d come back to the Lily Pad and enjoy this beautiful experience again."

  • "Waiting to Exhale Moments" at Timberlane Retreat

"I was very pleased with Spectacular 24 Bed - Main Lake Home Dock. I celebrated my 65th birthday retreat titled "Waiting to Exhale". I along with my guests were very pleased with the location. Many had not been to this area and found that the drive from Raleigh to Littleton an awesome countryside experience. We had no problem with deciding who was sleeping where. We evening named one of the rooms "The Penthouse". The rooms were very spacious and bed were comfortable. The house was clean and very well maintained. The owner offered great customer service. Overall the accommodations were more than adequate for my group. Great for large group entertaining. Beautiful view and access to the lake. The house offers a very relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for letting me host my event here and looking forward to having more."
