  • Excellent Family Vacation

"If you are looking for a place to unwind, I highly recommend staying here. The absolutely gorgeous sunsets and great small town experience is well worth it. Your trip can be as active or relaxed as you would like. The area offers antique shopping, winery tours, and kayak adventures to name a few. I also highly recommend eating at Sting Rays, Exmore Diner, and The Shanty during your trip! You can also simply walk out the back door to the beach and enjoy sitting by the water all day. I can't wait until my next trip!"

  • Perfect family vacation

"You could not ask for a more beautiful setting to relax and unwind. Linda and Gary are just wonderful. They have a lovely home with more than enough space for our family of 7. The kids had a ball crabbing every day as well spending time kayaking. I enjoyed early mornings on the dock just watching the birds while enjoying a cup of coffee. Don't hesitate to choose Seagull Retreat for your next vacation. You will not be disappointed!!!"

  • Wonderful! Loved every minute!

"Six adults, and two dogs stayed at "The Farm" for Thanksgiving, and had a wonderful time. I felt right at home as soon as we drove down the long lane. Jimmy, who takes care of the place was there, and that was nice to meet and talk to him. It couldn't have been any better for us. The dogs could run around without any worry of neighbors, or roads, or anything else. The water was right in front of us, which we loved kayaking on, and spending time on the dock. We used the fire pit everyday, and loved that also. My husband and I stayed in the oldest bedroom section with it's fantastic view through the really interesting and pretty windows. The only thing that could be improved upon would be the stove, as it was a little hard to see what the temps were. But even with Thanksgiving dinner being made, that was a small thing compared to the gorgeous view and location. We have already been thinking of when we could go back in warmer weather. It was also so quiet, that was wonderful. My husband is an avid astronomer, and other than one light across the creek, it was pretty dark. We hit some cloudy weather, but I can only imagine how wonderful it would be on a moonlit night!"
