  • Excellent home with a beautiful view

"We were attending Lopez Island for a family reunion and this home was a perfect place to say for our two large families. The kitchen was beautiful. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the living space was very spacious. There was a beautiful deck and wonderful hot tub overlooking the beautiful West side of the island, creating exquisite opportunities to view the sunsets each evening. Access to the private beach was great for the kids - allowing us to see wonderful wildlife- Eagles, sea lions, and deer. There was also a very nice lawn space that allowed us to play outside games as a family. Great place to stay!"

  • great space in glacier

"house was big, felt bigger than the photos, which seemed big to me. Great space for 7 snowboarders to eat and sleep between days at Mt Baker. There were no coffee filters, and while the kitchen is awesome, there wasn't quite the right collection of pots and pans for cooking a meal large enough for the crew we had. It was a bit of a struggle each night to cook in quantity. Bring Salt and Pepper. this is pretty clear in the description if you read it, which I did, but we all still forgot to bring salt and pepper. And Coffee filters, the bowl shape, not the more triangular. We could not get the Sauna to work, seemed overly complicated, took us 20 minutes to find the indoor light switch that let us power it up, then couldn't get it to stay on long enough to heat past 50 deg. It kept shutting off when we weren't looking. But this place is nice, clean, and big. Plenty of room, and plenty of comfort. Worth every penny. I would absolutely stay there again."

  • Five Star reviews are more than deserved

"My wife and I are great fans of vacation rentals and have had some truly wonderful experiences, especially in the Pacific Northwest. After staying at the Samish Island Waterfront Cabin we now have a new favorite. Travelers and vacationers obviously have their own particular interests and expectations when selecting a vacation rental property, I know we certainly do. For us, our priority criteria are cleanliness, comfort, location, and accommodating owners. The Samish Island Cabin more than met all four. We couldn’t have been happier with this charming little cottage. This is one of the most relaxing places we’ve ever rented. And wow what a view! As is almost always the case with VRBO properties, the Samish Island Cabin was well furnished, provided all the linens, dishes and utensils we needed, and had available all sorts of guides and brochures about Samish Island and the surrounding Skagit Valley. The Samish Island information was very helpful because this was our first time to travel to the area. We will certainly return. Samish Island residents are among the friendliest we’ve ever met. The Wi-Fi worked very well (which has become increasingly important to us of late). We stayed at Samish Island at the hottest time of the year and were cool and comfortable and didn’t miss at all not having air conditioning. As other reviewers have mentioned, Jennifer was terrific. She is pleasant, friendly, accommodating, generous, and knows the area very well. She recommended the bakery in the quaint nearby town of Edison and what a recommendation it was. Those folks have some of the best freshly baked goods we have had anywhere. And we highly recommend breakfast at the Edison Café. This is an unassuming little place in Edison that is frequented by locals and serves one of the best and most substantial breakfasts you could ask for. Don’t miss it if breakfast is one of your favorite meals (it is mine). We highly recommend the Samish Island Waterfront Cabin and can hardly wait to return for another stay. • Beautiful house!

"We loved the house and had a wonderful time. A few things we especially liked: - Beautiful views of Puget Sound - Great little back yard for the kids to play in - Easy access to the rocky beach down a flight of stairs. The separation from the beach is especially good for little kids - Easy ferry ride. Unlike some of the bigger San Juan islands, Lummi is easy to get to with little or no ferry wait - Great living area with amazing views of the water - Did I mention the views?? The only thing to note is that the fourth bedroom no longer has a queen size bed and has two twin beds instead. We would love to go again!"
