  • Can't wait to come back

"This was my second time staying at the Jim Jack Shack and am already looking forward to booking this cabin again. The cabin feels like home as soon as you walk in. The hosts have thought of everything, from the well-equipped kitchen to the super comfortable bed, instant fireplace, and hot tub out back. It's a wonderful weekend getaway and the perfect home base for exploring Mt. Baker National Park."

  • It was nice, simple, and functioned well for our group..

"We came in rite as the power went out. It was difficult to find the address mainly because of the power out.: There was 2 feet of snow in the driveway and a sizable berm. We had to shovel a lot to fit both cars in the driveway.. understandable considering the amount of snow and crazy storms that week.. the power was out for 24 hrs.. all the flashlights and candles had empty batteries, with no spares and all the obvious areas ( hallway closets were locked) .. that was very inconvenient.. also , not having a proper spice rack with basic cooking spices ( salt n pepper ) etc.. was challenging.. the tv with 5 different controllers and the directions to use them was the most frustrating thing ever.. took 4 of us about 2 hours to finally figure out the built in movie option.. the gate was also challenging being that we had 2 cars in our group.. I had to get out every time and open the gate for car behind me. The shower part on the upstairs bathtub wasn't working either.. and every time we used it for a bath, it would drain the hot water tank.. other than all that, it was great and I would stay there again, but prob upgrade to a house with a jacuzzi.. thank you"

  • Worked perfectly for us!

"The cabin was just around the block from the rest of our family group, so the location was perfect! We had lots of snow during our stay and felt extremely cozy. The place was super clean, plenty of blankets and towels. Having two full bathrooms was a genuine luxury. The gas fireplace was wonderful, the kitchen was well-equipped and we loved the skylights, especially in the bathroom. My husband took a dip in the hot tub after two long days of skiing at Baker. Plenty of room for us 4 adults and all our gear. Loved the alpine decor, big beams, etc. Watch out for the room beams over the upstairs beds. My brothers are both tall men, and one of them hit his head pretty hard despite knowing better! Info for the owners: the drain stopper/strainer in the kitchen should be replaced, as it has lost a nut or something. Doesn't work properly. I can't vouch for the upstairs bed, but the one on the main floor wasn't very comfortable for me (as an older lady). Would be fine for a teenager! Thank you for allowing us to share your wonderful mountain nest! Laurie"

  • Large Family Reunion

"We very comfortably had 10 adults for a family reunion at the Grand Lodge and had plenty of space. The kitchen is very convenient for large meals and the table sat everyone comfortably. The hot tub was wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend this beautiful Lodge to anyone with a large group."
