  • Perfect for Our Family!

"We had a wonderful time staying for four nights in early August. It was easy to find and close to Friday Harbor which was very helpful when catching the early morning ferries. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, the hot tub was amazing, the kids loved playing pool...it was perfect for our vacation. We were able to pick blackberries at the end of the driveway and down the lane. We made homemade blackberry syrup for our pancakes and ice cream. Deer were a common site around the house. The stars filled the sky at night. We felt very relaxed in this peaceful, secluded home. And, it was within ten minutes of the ferry terminal which was very convenient."

  • We can't wait to return next year!!

"First time every renting a cabin...anywhere. So happy we did! Susan was so quick to respond and answer my questions, and she kept in touch during the time of our reservation to the actual trip. My 10 and 9 yr old girls loved the downstairs bedroom suite because it was "their space". My husband loved the pellet stove...kept us very warm and toasty during wet days. My favorite place was the deck (when weather was warm) and the recliner because it faced the deck. I appreciated all the instructions posted around the home....I didn't want to ruin the house or the next visitors. The kitchen was spacious and I had no issues w/cooking all our meals. The only cons I had were: the stairs are steep so you have to be able bodied to bring your luggage up; the kitchen knives weren't sharp enough (and I missed my knives), and that driveway was steep. That being said, everything else about the house was considered a pro. We were seriously very comfortable and happy. And the location was so perfect...spent a lot of time at Moran State Park. A week stay at Dancing Deer and we only saw 50% of the island. We rolled our deposit over and booked for 2017 at a warmer part of the year so we could go whale watching and go to the farmers market. We can't wait to return here!"

  • Perfect get-away for "kids" from 6 to 92!

"You won't find a more perfect home (or more gracious hosts) on the island. The location gives you easy access to town and the ferry terminal (5 minute drive) while the wooded setting makes you feel like you're a million miles from it all. Beautiful surroundings! Clean, well-appointed home! Cozy beds! We grilled out, walked to the beach, enjoyed the deer who visited the yard, watched the kids play in the tree house, lounged in the hammocks, watched a couple of movies we found amidst the hundreds of DVDs available - DOTS of fun! Book now! You won't regret it! Thanks Judy & Greg!"

  • Perfect Getaway for 14!

"This house is BEAUTIFUL!!! We filled the house with 14 people and never felt cramped! It was so relaxing and comfy. We didn't venture out a whole lot over the weekend because we didn't want to leave the house! Everything we needed in the kitchen was there. The bbq worked great! Books and books and books galore! Games too! Deer graced us with their presence every day in the yard. So close to EVERYTHING! Walk to Eastsound. Walk to North Beach. Walk to the brewery. Walk next door to the arts building to see amazing wind chime art in the yard. We are already talking about coming back just to stay at the house! Gerry is awesome and didn't get annoyed with all my questions lol!"
