  • Doe Bay

"We loved our stay at this Doe Bay home. It was perfect for our family of Grandpa, Grandma, son, wife and 2 year old. The view of the bay is just gorgeous anytime of the day or night! The fenced grassy yard was perfect for our little one, and the walk down the great stairs to the private beach was awesome. It was so peaceful at the end of the road - we all thought it the best sleep ever! Melinda has thought of everything to make for such a comfortable week, with an extensively supplied kitchen, beautiful dining area and large living room. The location was a short drive to Moran State Park, an oyster farm, kayaking and plenty of hiking! We'd sure love to come back!!"

  • great space in glacier

"house was big, felt bigger than the photos, which seemed big to me. Great space for 7 snowboarders to eat and sleep between days at Mt Baker. There were no coffee filters, and while the kitchen is awesome, there wasn't quite the right collection of pots and pans for cooking a meal large enough for the crew we had. It was a bit of a struggle each night to cook in quantity. Bring Salt and Pepper. this is pretty clear in the description if you read it, which I did, but we all still forgot to bring salt and pepper. And Coffee filters, the bowl shape, not the more triangular. We could not get the Sauna to work, seemed overly complicated, took us 20 minutes to find the indoor light switch that let us power it up, then couldn't get it to stay on long enough to heat past 50 deg. It kept shutting off when we weren't looking. But this place is nice, clean, and big. Plenty of room, and plenty of comfort. Worth every penny. I would absolutely stay there again."

  • Magical sunsets and endless entertainment!

"We spent a week on Orcas at the timber lodge with our wedding in the middle at the red rabbit farm which is another magical place on orcas. We had a small family wedding and had our family with us the entire week. We rented another great house up the hill from the timber lodge. The timber lodge was perfect. It's so close to Moran, and centrally located making it close to eastbound, doe bay, and not too far from westbound or deer harbor. If you run out of things to do at and around this house there is something wrong with you. There are endless things to do and one of our favorites was to hang out on the giant deck that faces west and watch the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen for nearly 3 hours at this time of year. Richard and Lisa are fantastic. They are very helpful and kind people. Thanks for everything and we will be back. Travis"
