  • Enjoyable stay!!

"Had a wonderful, quiet, relaxable time at the cottage! Great secluded location, yet so close to many attractions. Owners are wonderful people; had a very welcoming greeting! Loved sitting on the deck next to the river, enjoyed playing some of the games, and being able to cook in the full kitchen and the outside grill. Only reason I can't give 5 stars is some of the cookware, especially skillets, need very much replaced, and the sink stopper was broken. Other than those few little issues, we loved it, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a getaway in this area. Would definitely return here again!"

  • Bitter Sweet

"Having to tell others just how wonderful something was, how perfect it was for my wife, I, and my two dogs. How peaceful and quiet. How restful and relaxing. All the while knowing this may affect your future ability to book the date you want. That is bitter sweet. We did really love our stay there. Everything you need is in the cabin. Secluded, but within minutes of anything you might need. State Parks, skiing, fishing and hunting within minutes. Really like to keep this one a secret."

  • Nice weekend "unplugged"

"Very nice & secluded. Enjoyed our weeken "unplugged". House is well stocked with cooking utensils, books, & movies. House was very clean & owner responsive. It is a long drive down a narrow gravel road so it beautiful in the fall."

  • The place to come to gather yourself from the mental destruction of the daily grind

"The little 5 minute walk to the river is absolutely necessary. Pack a picnic lunch before you go since hindsight is truly 20/20. This is not a large home but adequately stocked and comfortable. The back of the house provides complete privacy from the prying eyes of an OCCASIONAL vehicle on the main road that is every bit of 200 yards away. There a very, very small amount of traffic on a distant road but not bothersome at all. The interior of the home is layed out nicely. The only 2 things the next occupant needs to be aware of is the shower in the hall bathroom is very small. Not for large framed folks. And the cook stove in the kitchen is gas. Start out on low heat and increase it gradually. The back room of the house has a bedroom and a breakfast table. Windows from the floor to the ceiling. Nice! One member of our party slept there and proclaimed it as the best nights' rest she has ever had. Attributed the sound of the water to that. If one has an enormous and active imagination, this is NOT the room for you. Plenty of deer, owls and other wildlife will make their appearance in the evenings and throughout the day. The sound of the water cleanses your soul. If I could change one thing it would be to change the checkout time from 10:00 to 11:00 or 12:00. You are pushing it to get packed up and loaded by the current checkout time. Would definitely stay here again"
