Top notch vacation rental AKHYT Toronto Canada Review Submitted: August 13, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009 My wife, three children and I had a great stay in Casa Manana. The house is perfectly fitted out for a relaxing stay on the Pacific Coast. It is very well maintained and was immaculately clean when we arrived. The included maid service was also great so the house stayed very clean for our entire stay. Even with three children! We really enjoyed the Playa Hermosa beach just down the road. It was always very relaxed and quiet and provided great swimming and sand-castle fun for the kids. The beach is walking distance and we did plan to walk there; we just never got around to it. Parking was too easy. Dirk and the property manager were also great. The service provided by both was fantastic. I would recommend Casa Manana to anyone and would definitely stay there again. Casa Manana was a fabulous home base and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there! By the time we reached Hermosa, we had already been in Costa Rica for two weeks and we were thrilled to see a dishwasher, phone, internet, and most importantly a comfortable bed! The pool kept the kids busy and was great to come home to after a day out in the hot sun. The house was very comfortable for our entire family and our kids did not want to leave to come back home to Portland. I really appreciated how well supplied the house was with furniture, dishes, towels, spices, etc. Thank you so much for your hospitality and advice. Rowlett, TX Review Submitted: June 29, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009 Casa Manana was awesome. The house is beautiful, very close to the beach, comfortable, spacious, and the pool was so relaxing. The house was exactly what was described by the owner, who is very responsive and great to work with. We had all the amenities and comforts of home. The house is stocked with everything you need in the kitchen to cook out if you choose. There are two grocery stores within walking distance. Two friends and I rented the house to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We had a blast in Costa Rica and at the house. We saw all kinds of wildlife around the house. We went diving, snorkeling, zip-lining, hiking to a volcano, and 4-wheeling through the rain forest. What a blast. We also spent a day at the house relaxing around the pool. The property management company (Gus and Tim) was very responsive and provided constant attention to us. They gave us suggestions on what to do and even brought us beer a couple of times! One suggestion we would make --- rent a car. We initially did not and wished we would have. We rented mid-week and glad we did. Roads are easy and getting places was easy. Overall, the house was clean and spacious and it was nice to have a home away from home. Thanks to Dirk and Lisa for their great hospitality with their home. My wife and I and our 2 children, ages 4 and 1, stayed at Casa Manana with our 2 friends and their 2 children from 06-01-09 to 06/08/09. We had a wonderful time! First of all, getting the house rented was great, Dirk and Lisa were very friendly and reliable, always retuning any email or phone call and answering all of our questions. As for the house, it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Great location for one thing, and the floor plan is nice and open, which worked out great with the kids! The pool is amazing, we spent a lot of our time in the pool and out on the patio...great for relaxing!! The house was very clean, the staff great, and took care of all of our needs. While we stayed at Casa Manana we did several activites and ate at some great places in and near Hermosa. First of all some of the activites included, ziplining at the Congo Trail. Very worth it, but make sure you pay the extra 5 bucks to go in with the white faced and spyder monkeys...probably the neatest experience we had while there. We also enjoyed the beach in Hermosa, the water is clear and calm, overall just really enjoyable. We also drove to nearby Coco where we rented a boat that took us snorkling which was also very fun, we got to see lots of fish and a couple of white spotted rays! Also in Coco we had fun going to the shops and getting gifts to take home. One day we drove to Tamarendo where we took surf lessons and also did some shopping. The rest of our time was just spent relaxing around the house and enjoying it! As for places to eat, we really loved eating at Ginger's in Hermosa, a little expensive, but well worth it! The Upper Deck sports bar had great buffalo wings, but the pizza was not very good. We did a lot of eating just at the house which was a huge plus, as it can get expensive eating out all the time, so it was nice to get together and make a meal at the house and relax and watch the sunset next to the beautiful view of the ocean!! I would recomment this property to anyone...it exceeded all of our expectations!! Again, I can't say enough about Dirk and Lisa who were just wonderful, and we are so greatful that they shared their home with us!! Thanks so much, we had such a great time!!!
