  We spent 5 days here and it was AMAZING, we had everything we needed at this house. The pool was great we enjoyed it very much. In the mornings and evenings you hear the monkeys near. Its a very safe and secured property with many things to do around town. Our whole family had a hard time leaving, we will definitely stay here again and highly recommend Casa Mañana to all. We had the best vacation ever. Dirk thank you so much for everything, you made everything easy and we are extremely happy to have stayed at your home. Thanks again...Miriam Soriano and family.

  We arrived to this beautiful house after a short drive from the Liberia airport. We already had all the pertinent information from the owner, Dirk, who went the extra mile providing tips about restaurants and sightseeing. The house is beautiful, in impecable shape, and we were greeted by Gus, who briefed us on all the features available. Beautiful landscape, privacy, a grill and the pool, all appreciated. Easy walk to the beach, spectacular sunsets, no rain. We drove to busier beaches, like Flamingo and El Conchal, but Hermosa is the place if you want to enjoy a quiet time with family. We would recommend this house without any hesitation whatsoever.

  We recently spent 5 nights here while attending a wedding nearby. The home was very well equipped with everything we needed.(AC!!) The pool and patio were so pretty and fun for all ages. We had our 2 grandchildren (one and three) who spent many hours in the pool and relaxing on the patio. We loved getting up early to view and hear the birds. Most mornings we also heard the monkeys in the distance. We even got to view them from the front driveway. The 4 bedrooms were comfortable and the living\kitchen space allowed everyone to be together. The washer and dryer came in handy too. Short walk to the beach. The gated community felt safe and secure. It really is as pretty as the photos you see. Dirk was very available to answer all our questions. A very smooth vacation for our family of 8. We have brought home many wonderful memories of Casa Manana.

  We had a great time at Casa Manana (family with 2 teenagers). The house was clean and convenient, and the pool was so great. Love the grill out on the patio. The location is great, you can walk to the beach and to restaurants, even to the supermarket if you don't mind a longer walk. I'm familiar with many beaches in Costa Rica but Playa Hermosa has to be one of the best. Dirk was very nice to deal with, Guss took great care of us and everything was easy. Hope to be able to return.

  We had a lovely stay at Casa Manana. Dirk was more than helpful with all of our questions and inquiries before our arrival. Guss was great help during our stay and Tim and his wife were more than generous for help with "baby-type supplies" for use during our stay. The house is wonderful - all you need is there. It was great for us (2 families each with young children - one 7 month old and 1 year and a half). We were able to cook breakfast and any other meals we wanted. Everything we needed was in the house, and we picked up groceries in the town down the road and did 1 larger shop in Coco at the bigger store. The beach is 10 minutes from the house by foot (about a 3 minute drive). Easy to do with the babies, and it is a lovely beach (we saw 2 other nearby beaches but Hermosa was by far the best beach). If you don't want to be by the beach the pool at the house is lovely, and you can watch the hummingbirds feed off the flowers in the morning. In the afternoon you can watch the iguanas come by to sun themselves on the rocks. In the evening you can hear the howlers "barking" in the hillside. (If you're lucky you can find them at the beach hanging out in the trees lounging! We didn't see them at Hermosa, but we did see them at Ocotal) The house we perfect for us and the other couple we stayed with - plenty of room for the babies to play, and lots of space for us to enjoy ourselves after the kids are asleep! Perfect distance to nearby national parks (we went to Rincon de la Vieja), an animal sanctuary (Las Pumas), snorkeling off the beach (Playa Ocotal) etc. Ginger - a restaurant right around the corner from the house - was delicious. Really you can get the best of both worlds staying here - beach and forest hiking. The grounds keepers and the guard at the gate were all very friendly. Only positive things to say about Dirk, our stay, and Hermosa! We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thanks Dirk (Guss and Tim!)!

  Our family of four, including a 9 year old girl and 11 year old boy, had a wonderful time in Playa Hermosa. Casa Manana made a perfect base for exploring the area. We split our time between the usual - zipline, volcano, horseback riding; and lazy days at the beach or at the house. Oodles of space (two families could have split), great location.

  All I can say is WOW. Casa Manana was the perfect spot for our birthday celebration get-way. Horse back ride in the rain forest to the natural steam bath and hot springs, snorkling, reasonably prices restaurants - all close by. Thanks Dirk for the bargain lodging and making it so easy for my wife, daughter and I to have a wonderful time.

  We spent Thanksgiving week here and liked it very much. The house is fantastic. Comfortable, spacious, well-equipped, and with a layout that provided us all with privacy when we wanted it. The open-air patio with the swimming pool is awesome especially when you have kids. Owners were very helpful and responsive prior to and after booking. There is a caretaker who can help if necessary. He was there when we arrived and when we were leaving. Having two phones, one for the calls to the US and one for local was a great convenience. There is nothing about this house I can criticize and we would rent it again. I most definitely recommend it.

  I stayed at Casa Mañana for 7 Days in early September, and it is absolutely Awesome! There are great restaurants nearby, including a Tapas place and great hotel restaurants. The house was amazing! We spent a lot of time on the porch grilling and swimming in the pool, and the view was better than the pictures show. We were also with two other couples, and the size of the house and property was very good. We could've easily added another couple to the trip comfortably. The beach, just a 5-10 min walk! We traveled around a lot to different beaches, and kept coming back to Playa Hermosa, as it was by far the best. Aside from the great environment and view, the owners and the property manager were the most accommodating I have ever had at a vacation rental property. They knew where everything was, and were available by phone whenever we had a question, or needed some guidance. If you're considering a stay at Casa Mañana you should definitely do it. Great owners, great location, great service.

  If you want to have a grand vacation then this is the house to rent. From day one I felt comfortable with the whole transaction with the owner (Derek). The staff was amazing and the home was over the top. It felt like being home but only for the gorgeous scenery of Costa Rica. If I had to do it all over I would rent this house a million times over. It wa clean, very roomy and comfortable. The free internet and free long distance was the best to keep in touch with our loved ones. The pool was amazing and in the evenings the sunset took your breath away. The home was very secure and the beaches were a short ride away. Quite and a retreat in heaven. Loved loved loved this home and its surroundings. Congrats to the owners! Hope to see you again in 2 years......................
