Alta Cabin and House with Amazing Views!

  I have been coming to Teton Valley for many years now. I usually stay with a relative, but this year since there was three of us, I decided to rent a place. My kids and I all really enjoyed staying at the cabin. When we arrived, the place was very clean and just like the property manager had described it. We did a lot of skiing during our stay at Targhee and had one day in Jackson Hole. We even hiked Glory on Teton Pass with one of my kids and had a beautiful powder run down to Cold Creek as a reward for the effort. For restaurants in the area, in Driggs, Forage stands out as a really good choice as well as Teton Thai. Also, make a point of going to Pendel's for a pastry and a good coffee. However, I think that some of the best coffee in the valley is in Victor, 8 miles south of Driggs, at Fitzgerald's bikes. There are some good concerts at the Knotty Pine, and good beer to be had at the Grand Teton Brewing Company, and at the Wildlife Brew Pub. All are in Victor. I look forward to coming back to the Tetons and would definitly rent this property again should I need to. I think that my only suggestion would be to have a couple of single beds in one of the sleeping areas to accommodate children or people who do not want to share a bed.

  The small cabin was really nice, clean, and comfortable. Showed up on short notice and Lori was very accomodating. Very relaxing with good views.

  We had a group stay in the cozy cabin for a New Years ski trip and were very happy with our experience. The hot tub and wood stove are a nice touch, the view is beautiful, and the dogs LOVED running around the nordic ski track [right in the backyard] with all the other skiers and their dogs. All around, a great place! We would definitely stay here again.

  This review is long overdue! First of all, I have to say that Lori was absolutely wonderful-so helpful and informative! She and the owner were very understanding when we were presented with a situation which prevented us from staying in the cabin in May, our original reservation date. The cabin itself was perfect! It has everything you could possibly want or need for a fun vacation-games, movies, music, books, a full kictehn, nice flat screen tv, a firepit, and even fishing rods and binoculars! And of course, the hot tub with amazing Teton views!!! It is a very well kept and clean property in a nice little neighborhood. Our dogs loved the lush green grass in the backyard! We enjoyed staying in Alta, even though it was a bit of a drive to and from Jackson/Yellowstone each day. The town is really cute, and the peace and quiet was great. We absolutely loved it and would recommend this cabin for anyone who would like to enjoy the comforts and amenities of home without breaking the bank!! :)

  Warm, cozy, relaxing, rejuvenating, and just down right perfect. Fantastic setting close to so many things to do. The home provided a wonderful week getaway for my husband and I. We chose to buy groceries and cook all our meals there. It was perfect, but you're close enough to great dining in Driggs and Victor. You cannot go wrong with this venue. Although it was just the two of us I believe it is perfect for families as well. We certainly will be coming back for a return stay!

  The House was cozy and comfortable for my husband and I, and daughter and friends. Well appointed kitchen made cooking a pleasure. Quick drive to Grand Targhee. Also loved the cross-country trails just out back and snow shoeing in Teton Canyon. A cow moose spent the first day in the yard! A great value for the price.

  This was a great place to stay. Wow, what a fantastic view of the Tetons! The cabin is super comfortable and we enjoyed the quieter side of the mountains. We would highly recommend.

  Two of us stayed in the Alta. House next to the cabin. It was delighful visit having all amenities within. We certainly felt at home, and would reccomend to anyone, and everyone interested in visiting the Teton Mountains area.

  We stayed at the cabin for a week in March 2009. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations. The cabin is very clean and well furnished. The wood burning stove with an unlimited supply of firewood made the cabin very cozy. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub at the end of fantastic days skiing. The views are spectacular! We highly recommend this property and hope to return soon. Slippery Rock, PA

  Great cabin, great location and great snow! It was a good fit for our family of four. Julie gave us good dinner recomendations for dinner and it was nice to see her familiar face at the ski hill.
