You can't miss with this ideally located studio apartment. Rue de Beauce is a quiet one-way alleyway off rue de Bretagne. This 3rd arrondisement location is ideal for satisfying all your desires in Paris. The apartment is situated just a hop, skip, and jump (or you can walk :)) from le Marche des Enfants Rouge-the oldest in Paris-where you can find an assortment of produce, flowers, wine, fruits, and several restaurants. Or you can merely order a coffee and watch and listen to Parisians pass you by. Say bonjour! Also at your doorstep you will find wonderful specialty shops, bakeries, restaurants, banks, boutiques, and much, much more. To relax sit in the Square du Temple and let your imagination run wild while resting on the very spot that housed the Templars.

For museum lovers you are minutes from the Picasso Museum, the Carnavalet, and the Museum Cognac-Jay. For those who love churches, stroll through and admire Eglise Notre Dame des Blancs-Manteaux, Eglise Saint-Paul-Saint-Louis and more. As for shopaholics, try saying no to the fashionable boutiques along rue des Archives, rue Vieille du Temple, rue des Francs-Bourgeois, to name a few. Love to eat? Superb restaurants abound near the apartment which offer cuisine of almost every nationality. Tired from a long day of sightseeing? Then stop in the Fran Prix grocery store, buy a bottle of wine, an assortment of cheeses, perhaps a foie gras, a baguette, head back to the apartment, kick off your shoes, relax, and savor all that is French.

The apartment building is protected with a digicode and has an elevator. Once you open the door to your home away from home you will find a full kitchen equipped with stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, refrigerator/freezer, washer and dryer. Dishes, pots and pans, utensils, cups and glasses are available as well. The bathroom has a full tub for those who love a long bath as well as a shower. The toilet is opposite the bathroom

Amenities include television, telephone (for local calls only) and an iPhone for your use, internet access. An iron and ironing board are available.

You will be greeted by me at the apartment where I will give you the keys and go over the apartment with you. Should anything go wrong you will have my phone number so I can solve any emergency that might arise. As the saying goes, 'There are no strangers in the world, only friends I haven't met yet.' This is why your stay here is not like a stay in a hotel.

THIS IS A NON-SMOKING APARTMENT. SORRY, NO PETS ALLOWED.

The best way to contact me is by email. Simply click 'Click to Inquire' and fill out the form. I will respond as quickly as possible, usually within 24 hours. If you need to speak with me by phone, please keep in mind the time difference and call at an appropriate time. Merci!

I can't say enough for not only the apartment, but for le Marais as well. Although you are in the center of Paris, you'll find yourself enveloped more in the French lifestyle than in other parts of the city where tourists abound. The diversity, the energy, the culture, the life of le Marais will have you wanting to return over and over. It is truly intoxicating! Keep in mind that the longer you stay the cheaper it becomes.

Want to learn French while you're here? Elizabeth is available to teach you the basics of French so you can comfortably order in a restaurant, ask for directions, or buy lunch at the marche des Enfants Rouges. It can make your stay all the more exciting. Let me know and I can arrange the lessons for you. All levels welcomed.

Hope to meet you soon! Steve and Eric

We had a 12 hour flight delay and as a result were not at the apparetment at 11 am but 11 pm. Steve was fantastic he waited for us and helped my wife and I with our luggage and our 9mth old daughter. This service was fantastic and extremely appreciated after our ordeal. He then proceeded to explain the area took us to a place for a bite to eat and allowed us to show our appreciation with a shout of a beer. Our daughter was the first to stay and she loved the "I love Paris" bib. The appartment was clean comfortable and had plenty or room for our portacot. The location was fantastic and we walked form the appartment to all of the major sites. We loved our time in Paris and our stay. On leaving Steve was again fantastic and booked us a taxi to take us to the airport. His help made our frantic flights seem nothing but a little bump in our trip. We would recommend staying here to anyone. We loved it.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

Owner response: Dear Mike, Jill and Baby Charlotte, I'm so touched by your kind words. Travel is harried, stressful and with a baby downright long. But you three arrived with smiles on your faces, well maybe not Charlotte, haha! I'm so happy we were able to spend some time together over a beer. You guys are great and a terrific family. You are always a part of the Beauce family and would love to welcome you back one day! Thank you again and hugs all around!

We were in Europe last month and stayed at several places, each time we'd compare it to Steve's place. It wasn't just the apartment that was nicely sized, very clean, equipped with everything you need (clean towels, appliances, tv and the works), located in Marais, near the metros, equipped with a lift (very important!), a mobile just in case; it was also the extra touches that they put in which made a difference for us. Elizabeth met us and actually walked us around the neighbourhood, telling us how to get around and what the area has to offer. Although I didn't get to meet Steve, he still checked that we were settled in and I knew he would be just a phone call away. I never got to say Thanks Steve, so I might as well do it now :)

Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Owner response: I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you in person! Thank you for loving Beauce, le Marais and Paris. The next time you're here we'll have une coupe de champagne! On me! Merci et biz!

This was our home-away-from-home for a full and wonderful week in Paris. It's got a perfect location right in the heart of Le Marais, within easy walking distance of many star attractions. We also enjoyed the more low-profile local places such as the neighborhood park a block away and the many small art galleries only a few blocks away. The studio itself, though small, is all you need, and the owners have stocked it with everything under the sun including all sorts of kitchenware, guidebooks, musical CDs, etc. Steve was a warm and caring host. When we're back in Paris again, this is where we'll want to stay. Btw, the restaurant right across the street (Aux Enfants Rouges or something like that) is OUTSTANDING. Don't miss it!

Owner response: We definitely strive to make Beauce your home away from home. After all, you're now part of the Beauce family. So happy you liked the location and the apartment. Hope to have you back one day for a longer stay! :) Thank you so very much!

I wish we could have stayed longer - that sums it up. First met Steve for the handover who was friendly, helpful and showed us a few key shops on Rue de Bretagne. The flat is sweet and well designed, clean and nicely planned out. Good shower, always a plus and nice quiet side street yet so close to a buzzing neighborhood. Everything you could want is nearby and colorful - small shops with incredible pastries, roasting chickens, vegetables and a free internet café. About a 15 minute walk to the Seine, the historic Place des Vosges, a very good location to head off to other places. Very comfy, happy experience.

Owner response: Merci Donna! I'm very happy you were able to capture the spirit of Beauce and the surrounding area. It really is a great location and so hard to describe in words. But like you, once one arrives, it's an eye opener as to just how close many things are. Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so lucky to have such great people stay at Beauce and be a part of our Beauce family. When are you coming back? :)

The lovely, perfectly equipped studio on Rue de Beauce was the ideal location for our first trip to Paris. Eric and Steve have taken great care to insure that you will be comfortable in the apartment and the neighborhood. When we arrived, Eric met us and showed us the apartment and, more importantly, took us around the neighborhood to show us the shops, cafes, parks, etc to get us oriented to the Marais district. They have good WiFi and even an iPhone available for your use during your stay. I would highly recommend this apartment and hope to return soon.

Owner response: Well, we hope you return soon too! Merci for your kind words. We aim to make Beauce your home while in Paris. A place to come back to at the end of a long day of sightseeing, wine sipping, and people watching. You are always a part of the Beauce family!

My husband and I spent a memorable 10 days in Paris in early spring. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the rue de Beauce studio. We especially appreciated Steve's warm welcome to the extremely comfortable, excellently located apartment. The neighborhood has much to offer: shops, cafes, restaurants, parks, convenient Metro connections. The boulangerie/patisserie around the corner is exceptional. We are looking forward to a return visit.

Owner response: Well we definitely can't wait for your return Madeline! There's nothing like having "family" return home. I'm just so happy that Beauce met your needs and that you were able to experience the wonderful neighborhood. It is a special place, le Marais. As are you! Merci, merci, merci!!

We were magnificently hosted by Steve and Eric who offered exceptional service and took great care to ensure everything was OK. We stayed a week then retuned for a few days a month later and it was like coming home. Everything was familiar and the Marais is such a great local neighbourhood experience we forgot we were tourists. Thanks so much Steve and Eric and we will be back. Rob and Wayne

Owner response: Hey guys! It was great to meet you both and even more fantastic that we have the same friends in Australia. We were only too happy we could have you arrive at our home (even though you walked forever) to freshen up before getting to Beauce. And the dinner was loads of fun. Thanks guys for some super memories. Hope to see you soon either in Australia or back here in Paris! Biz! Steve and Eric

We've been to Paris a dozen times and have experienced hotel, B&B and studio accommodations. Nothing in our past prepared us for the remarkable experience of Beauce. From our first contact with Steve, the entire "Beauce experience" is one of delightful ease. The photos online do not do justice to the care, effort and details that have been provided for a visitor at Beauce. The apartment is so tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable, fresh, clean and well supplied for the traveler's every possible need. Beware of the delicious chocolates on arrival! Steve and Eric have done an exceptional job in creating a unique experience in a location that simply can't be beat. Everything one could want is within a short walking distance. All of Paris is so accessible from here! We will be back for a much longer stay and have already recommended Beauce to friends. Inspite of a week of rain & chilly weather, being at Beauce provided a warm, welcoming and sunny retreat, located close to wonderful cafes. Do not pass up a chance to experience Beauce; it will exceed your expectations in every way!

Owner response: Oh! Meg and Walt! All I can say is Wow! I'm touched. Thank you very much for this review. We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Beauce. We wanted to make it your 'home' in Paris. The next time you come, we will have to sit periodically at a cafe so I can hear about your adventures. I love to look in our guests eyes when they talk to me about Paris. Those eyes light up with the spirit of Paris. Promise we'll have that opportunity. Again, thank you, merci! You are now part of the Beauce family of exceptional people. Biz!

The apartment is very clean, comfortable, well-maintained, in a very beautiful and convenient neighborhood of Le Marias. We used the convenient and nearby Metro stations in travel plan to study French medieval to the Third Republic history, this made our day journeys very doable, inexpensive, and pleasant. The local scene has something for everyone if you do not want to travel far. The proprietors are most helpful and really fun. The apartment is well furnished with a most comfortable bed! Everything you need has been furnished and well-thought out by the management.

We spent two months in Beauce in 2011 and are returning for six more weeks in 2012 . Need I say more? Our hosts were wonderfully kind and helpful. The apartment, though small by American standards, was more than satisfactory for our purposes. With about six cafés within a short two or three block walk, we were able to spend many hours relaxing and watching Paris walk by. We recommend it highly.

Owner response: Thank you Erwin and Alexandria! Merci! That is what Paris is about. Sitting in a café, sipping a glass of wine and watching Paris go by. We did that at Le Sancerre (except you and I had happy beers) with an accompaniment of a band. Ah! Paris! le Marais! Both of you brought a great spirit to Beauce and we can't wait to have you back next year.
