New, Waterfront designer condo, "Captain's Quarters" is located in the Sunset Bay Villas on Main Street in the quaint town of Chincoteague, Va.

Chincoteague is an Island, 7 miles long from North to South and about 1 mile deep from East to West. Assateague Island is to the East of Chincoteague and can be reached by walking, biking or driving across the small bridge. Assateague Is. is a Barrier Reef with the Ocean to it's East.
Monthly events including the famous Pony Swin, Auction and Fireman's Carnival in July.
Assateague has a wonderful Lighthouse you can tour too! Great shopping, wonderful local artists, farmer's market, museums, etc.

Enjoy sweeping views of the bay and it's breathtaking sunsets off our private relaxing balcony. Wake up to brilliant sunrises, walk one block to local shops and seafood restaurants and return to relax at our poolside or enjoy our waterfront balcony.

The spacious, new condo offers 3 bedrooms: (1)King, (1) Queen & (2) Twin, which can be converted into (1) King & (1) Twin Aero Bed with addl. pad. (can accomodate 8, if using Aero Bed and Pad for 2 children)
Each room offers wireless Internet, cable TV and clock radio.

The "Chef Stocked" gourmet kitchen includes a vast array of cooking items and the island bar offers additional seating.

The dining area includes a large, expandable, elevated dining table allowing water views while dining.

The "waterfront" living room is well appointed with a large HD flat screen cable TV with expanded channels, 40 Music Channels, DVD player, Wireless Internet and stereo...as well as DVD's, and family games.

Cozy, romantic "waterfront" sitting area in Master bedroom with Cable TV, 40 Music Channels, Wireless Internet and DVD. Master Bed faces the water!

Enjoy sweeping water views and unforgettable sunsets from living, dining, kitchen and master bedroom and wake up to brilliant sunrises too!

The large balcony is a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while you watch the tides change and the shore birds play. Later in the day, sit back and relax on our cozy furnished balcony after a fun day at Assateague beach, a swim in our Sunset Bay pool, a workout in our gym, fishing or crabbing on our private Sunset Bay dock or a cook out at our new Sunset Bay grills with picnic table.

Don't worry about bringing or renting beach chairs, cooler and beach umbrella, our condo has those for your use too!
Kick back and enjoy our magazines, paperbacks and books...DVD's and lots of family games are there for your enjoyment too! There are (4) TV's, (2) DVD units, Stereo, Phone and...High Speed Wireless Internet too!

  • We had a great vacation and found this condo to be superb. The quality and amenities were perfect. The complex was well-kept and the people friendly. It is clean, safe and lovely with amazing views. Our kids loved catching crabs and fishing right off the deck, and all of Bonnie's recommendations were right on. We also enjoyed early morning walks on the beach and picking up shells. We saw horses every day, and even came upon them within arm's length on the road to the beach. Thank you Bonnie!!

Opportunities for biking, crabbing, relaxing and unwinding abound Captain's Quarters was the right place to call home during our time away! The view and cozy balcony topped it all off!

  • Captain's Quarters is a beautiful condo with a wonderful view! If you are looking for a wonderful getaway to a beautiful home that is in a convenient to everything in Chincoteague you should definitely stay here. My husband I thorougly enjoyed our stay and will be returning again.

    I can't believe I haven't heard of this beautiful Island before. How gorgeous. The views from your balcony breath-taking. We just loved listening to the birds in the morning from it and watching the sun set in the evening. We packed many things into our four day stay. Right away we rented bikes for the entire stay (best idea ever). One can really see the island by bike. We especially loved biking to the seashore & stopping along the way to watch the wildlife. Our youngest (age 15) probably took 500 pictures! We rented a boat for the day and took it to Assateague where we saw four ponies on the beach (one we even pet). We enjoyed the local restaurants especially the Chicken Parm. at Mr. Baldie's. Will be finishing our vacation with a meal at Bill's Seafood Restaurant. The best way I can describe this place is Cape Cod unspoiled and without the crouds! We'll definately be back! The Kamphaw Family
