"You have to see it to believe it. Wareloch is one of the few places on earth where you can experience uninterrupted views of land and sea, not a neighbor in sight. Gorgeous spot, lovely home, gracious host. Pure paradise!" Previous Guest's Comment
Wareloch is one of the few remaining places where you can enjoy sweeping, uninterrupted views of the Ware River and Mobjack Bay – an arm of the Chesapeake Bay. Located on 90 acres of family-owned property, Wareloch is on a natural inlet between two coves with beautiful private, secluded beaches.
Children can enjoy a swim in the river, build a sandcastle or play hide-and-seek in the boxwood gardens. Adults can relax by the water – a good read in one hand and a favorite beverage in the other. Nature lovers can take leisurely strolls along the private, half-mile lane, under a canopy of loblolly pines, magnolias and hollies. Animal watchers can observe such wildlife paradise as ospreys, snowy egrets, blue herons, bald eagles, great horned owls, wild turkeys, white-tail deer and more. Or you can kayak along the shoreline, soak up the sun on the private beaches, or find your own peaceful spot at a scenic paradise we call Wareloch.
Wareloch is the perfect spot to host family and friends for the holidays or anytime you want to gather at one place. The kitchen is fully stocked and the dining room can seat 10-12 guests. This 3,900-square-foot home has 12 rooms featuring 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 double, 2 twins, 2 twins & a futon), 2 ½ baths, formal living room, dining room, den (sofa bed), library (sofa bed), music room, breakfast room, kitchen, butler’s pantry and screened porch. The newly remodeled kitchen features new cabinets, countertops and appliances. Whether you come with family or friends, you will find Wareloch is an unbelievable place that will beckon you back year after year. We are happy to answer any questions and help you plan your perfect vacation getaway!

Why the Owner Chose Gloucester
I grew up in Gloucester. When my uncle passed he left me his beautiful home on the water. I spent many hours as a child on the beach and playing in the woods here.

Homeowner Response:
Wareloch is a great gathering place. I have had many visitors who are in town for a wedding and needed more space than a hotel room can offer. I look forward to hosting you all again!

Dear Paula: We have had a lovely stay at Wareloch. Thank you for the ease it has been to be here and for the friendly way you do business. What a perfect setting for an extended family to enjoy our niece's wedding. We spread outselves out, let down and enjoyed relaxing between the many festivities. Thanks for the place where memories were born.

Dear Paula: Thank you for making it possible for us to have such a lovely relaxing vacation. Wareloch is perfect for children. We so enjoyed chasing crabs and minnows, kayaking, floating down the river, building sandcastles and dining "al fresco." We could not get enough of the outdoors here! What a beautiful property! Thank you too for your flexibility in accommodating our travel plans. We are glad to have discovered this little paradise!
