This is a perfect location for a retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. This is perfect for family reunions or for a couple to snuggle up together in solitude. The cabin easily accommodates 17 people. Breathtaking views of Cascade Lake and West Mountain can be seen from the front of the cabin. Wake up to breakfast on the huge balcony overlooking a sleepy meadow on the backside. An occasional fox, rabbit, or deer wander by below.
Comfortable and upscale furniture throughout the cabin. The main living room area accommodates two split areas. One can snuggle by the fire on one side, or sit and enjoy mountain and lake views on the other. This cabin has places of refuge for everyone. Bedrooms are large, a loft upstairs with books to read. Downstairs is the game and entertainment room where children can play with Nintendo games, watch DVD's, play air hockey, throw darts, or play pool. This is a favorite room. Another TV/DVD/VCR available in the Master Bedroom.
Lake Cascade is literally only about 250 yards away. Just far enough away that young children can't wander into the water, but close enough for older kids to be able to walk back and forth at their leisure. Cascade's 9 hole golf course is just 2 miles from our front door. Lots of parking in a large parking area in front of the cabin. Room to park a boat/RV and several cars. Boat launch and parking are yards away at the public campground. You can even leave your boat in the only protected bay on the southern end of the lake and walk up to the cabin. The lake can be glassy for skiing/wakeboarding in the summer and freeze solid for snowmobiling, ice fishing in the winter. Winds come up in the afternoon for sailing.
Fishing is great off the boat dock below. Be prepared to catch a perch a minute! Trails for motorcycles, mountain biking, horseback riding. snowmobiling are literally either out our back door or just up the street. Snowmobile across the lake and up West Mountain where there are miles of snowmobiling trails. Tamarack ski resort is only 30 minutes away. Brundage ski resort is 1 hour away.
We have the best tubing hill just outside our back door! Or we can point you to an even bigger hill where we take our snowmobiles and haul kids up to the top for non stop fun! We've got Satellite Dish so you can watch sports. Don't miss your favorite team. Wifi internet is also available for your convenience. We have a phone for emergency use, but cell phone coverage is available. A large campfire area is available adjacent to the cabin.
