Mountain Chalet located in Blue Lake Springs. 1700 Square feet of mountain charm furnished with every amenity for a relaxing Sierra Nevada getaway.
A fully stocked kitchen and large dining area make indoor meals comfortable for ten people. A wrap-around deck with a hammock and gas barbecue provide for relaxing afternoons. Three bedrooms with a large loft. Ten person maximum with nine in beds - two queens, one full, and three twins. A futon and sleeper sofa provide several additional sleeping arrangements. A washer and dryer are provided for longer stays. In the loft you'll find a gaming table and additional TV/VCR/DVD that provides the opportunity to have kids upstairs while the adults are downstairs with a digital cable entertainment system.
Blue Lake Springs Community Recreation Center membership provides outdoor activities for all ages - two swimming pools, two lakes, basketball, tennis, volleyball, shuffleboard, and a playground for the kids! Additional guest fees apply.
Ski Bear Valley, California's most family oriented ski resort. Take a stroll through Calaveras Big Trees State Park, or the many wilderness areas of the Stanislaus National Forest. Mountain lakes and rivers are plentiful and close by - rent a canoe or fish from the bank. Hiking and biking for all abilities are within minutes.
In the summer enjoy the Bear Valley Music Festival. The California Gold Country has numerous renowned wineries and museums. The more adventurous may enjoy one of three caverns open to the public. Whatever activity you enjoy, Calaveras County has it - without the crowds of Tahoe!!!
