Whether you're looking to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city, or for a quiet, relaxing & serene vacation or maybe a "girlfriends' weekend"... THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

Wonderfully remodeled and beautifully decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath, open water front property on Cedar Creek Lake. Located on 2-1/2 lots, this charming cottage will play host to a fun-filled and yet relaxing vacation. Enjoy the newly remodeled kitchen which opens to eat-in-dining and 2 living areas, all with panoramic views of the lake! Also take advantage of 180 degree views from the observation deck off newly completed 2-tiered dock! Enjoy cozy nights by the campfire or a glass of wine on the dock. Whatever you do, you will surely enjoy our beautiful and relaxing setting that only a true lake retreat can provide. Complete with hammock, deck seating and lovely swimming hole!

Both bedrooms are equipped with queen size pillow-top beds, each with an additional feather bed, down comforters and 400 count cotton linens. The living areas have queen size pullout sofas complete with linens for each.

A TV and VHS/DVD players are located in one living area along with a variety of cards and games both for adults & children. You'll also find magazines, books, binoculars, utensils for making "s'mores", beach towels, "noodles" for swimming, umbrellas, picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and hammock for your pleasure.

Coffee is provided for your 1st day breakfast. A new Brookshire's grocery store is just a 5 - 10 min. drive to stock up with anything you might want for additional meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware and dinnerware and there is an outdoor propane grill for your use.

If you wish to bring your boat or pwc, you will be able to launch your boat at our private community boat ramp. Our property has ample space for parking your boat or pwc trailer. Our pier and dock is complete with mooring whips to tie up your boat or pwc's (max weight of 10,000#'s) during the day. Renting a boat can easily be accommodated @ Don's Port Marina just South of the cottage in Tool.

Our cottage is located on the West side of the lake (a short 1 hr. drive from Dallas) in a restricted subdivision in Tool, TX, complete with a full-time police force, fire department, emergency service, city water and sewer; i.e., NO SEPTIC TANK to contend with.

Our property is a smoke-free and pet-free environment, so no pets or smoking is allowed.

  • We rented this cottage and stayed for a week. We loved the big pier and boathouse. We fished, fed the ducks, make smores with the fire pit and the kids swam. We had a great time and hope to come back next summer.

    These comments were written in our guestbook...Wow! This place is so awesome! As soon as we walked in we all couldn't stop talking abut how wonderful it was. Colby already mentioned that it smelt so good! (Hope we didn't stink it up!) The view is awesome! We tanned & played games off the top deck & didn't ever want to leave. The way the place is decorated is so cute! If we ever get one I hope the inside looks like this! The beds are phenominal! We were amazed everytime we found every little detail you guys have for us. We could never thank you enough! I hope we come back really soon!

  • When you can't afford to get to the beach, this charming piece of paradise is the next best thing. This cottage is a very special place in a beautiful setting. The decor is casually chic and makes you want to meet the owners who have taken so much time to create such a wonderful feel. We loved our stay at MarGlo Cottage and never felt like we were in a rental. Everything we needed was already there for us. The dock and the patio draw you outside to the beautiful lake view. But even on a cloudy day, the inside of the cottage brightens the day with the wonderful sherbet colors. It can provide a romantic week-end or a great family get away. Absolutely one of our favorite places to be with friends.

  • My husband and I, children, and grandchildren spent a wonderful weekend at MarGlo Cottage. The cottage was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The kids played outside all day long. They delighted in catching fish off the pier and then throwing them back; playing on our big inflatable raft that we tethered to the dock (using the cottage's "noodles" to shoot "pirates"), and had fun being towed in "Big Bertha" behind our Wave Runners. After grilling dinner we roasted marshmallows over a campfire to make s'mores. As we were getting the kids ready for bed on the last night, we overheard our 6 year old grandson exclaim to no one in particular, "I'm never leaving this place!" He pretty well summed up the feeling for everyone. We look forward to our next stay at MarGlo Cottage.
