We came to town for our annual girls weekend away. The location is really nice. Quiet. Great house and we really enjoyed the back porch. The pool and fire pit was definitely a plus. We would recommend.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

This is the second year we rented this home for a 2 week summer getaway. The location is very convenient for all of our family to gather from different areas. The house has everything to make our stay very enjoyable. No need to bring anything except food. The house is very clean and just a short drive to downtown and the beach. Why the Owner Chose St. Joseph:
I have been an avid sailor for the past fifteen years, and every year I would do the Tri-State Regatta. The Regatta is a three day race which stops in each port overnight - Chicago to St. Joe, St. Joe to Michigan City, and Michigan City to Chicago. After several years of doing the regatta, I got to know St. Joe, and feel in love with its beach town charms such as Silver Beach and its cobblestone Main Street. A few years ago, my good friends purchased a home at Island Pointe( the development where my home is in). During a stopover in the Regatta, I bought the home and have never regretted it since. It's the perfect location only an hour and a half from home(Chicago), and as boater having your slip right behind your house - it doesn't get any better or cooler.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My home offers much more than the average vacation rental. When I was designing and furnishing the house, I went a little overboard since I knew I would be using it myself quite a bit. I only rent it to defray some of the costs of ownership, and spend several weeks and weekends there throughout the year. The house has all top of the line appliances, electronics, as well as the boat slips behind the house which offer access to Lake Michigan. The development offers a park, river walk, and a community pool and club house. Pretty much everything you'd find at a luxury resort. I hope you enjoy it as I do.
