Your Ghost Host leads you on a walking tour through Old Bisbee's streets, stairways, and old alleys after dark on an adventure to discover and learn about the ghosts that haunt this hundred twenty five year old town. Learn their history and favorite haunts while seeing Old Bisbee when very few do, after sunset.
Take a Lavendar Jeep Tour. There are 7 tours options. One of the tours, Sky Island Adventure, takes two hours. You actually rise to 7,400 feet. Another featured tour, The Back Roads of Bisbee, is a 90 minute tour on the narrow, twisting back roads. The Mining Landscape Tour is a complete comprehensive tour of the Warren Mining District (Bisbee). You can also visit the Bisbee copper mine, once the largest in the U.S. And wherever you go, you're sure to encounter the colorful characters who call Bisbee their home.
Just recently a new Ghost Towns Tour became available. You experience the real neighboring town of Tombstone going beyond the 20 second gunfight. You visit quieter ghosts lying lonely in the desert. You’ll see the old hospital, general store, school and jail in the copper camp Gleeson where Native Americans mined turquoise in antiquity. You visit Rattlesnake, home to all things found in the desert and finally move on to Courtland and Pearce along the Ghost Town Trail.
Consider using Above & Beyond Rentals as your base while you explore the Southwest desert or hike to the tops of nearby mountains or even recoup from a long distance bike ride. There are state parks within 30 minutes of town. Take a tour of the spectacular Karchner caverns. Birders love to watch the sand hill cranes swoop down to feed in a local lagoon.

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend during our kids Spring Break. We had a wonderful time in Bisbee and the house was perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. It was a perfect walk to everything we needed or wanted to do. The house was clean and well appointed. We brought plenty of food with us and did lots on cooking there. We would absolutely stay again. Can't wait!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: I am looking to do same with my 2 grandkids - yes, it is very convenient to get lots of places and there is a lovely big open kitchen to cook and eat as a family. Look forward to you returning.

FIRST OF ALL IT WAS DIFFICULT TO OPEN THE LOCK BOX...BROKE TWO FINGERNAILS...THE BACK DOOR WAS OPEN...LACK OF PAPER PRODUCTS...REALLY NEEDED MORE TOILET PAPER...LAST MINUTE HAD TO GO NEXT DOOR TO BORROW...HAIR SNARLS ON FLOOR OF FRONT BEDROOM...AND THE BATHROOM FLOOR REALLY NEED TO BE WASHED...SHEETS IN DRYER...WAS I SUPPOSE TO FOLD THEM...LIVING ROOM FUNITURE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE..AND ONE OF THE DINNING CHAIRS WAS BROKE...Owner response: I'm pleased I got to speak to Judith soon after she wrote her review. She was so happy that I took the time to hear what she had to say. She even spoke of trying to remove it, but hasn't done so; I guess its here to stay. I rely on my cleaning crew to be thorough, lock all the doors and put away the washing; perhaps this time they were not. This is truly the first time I have ever encountered a complaint. I also came to understand that Judith's husband has broken the chair and not that it was already broken. That made me feel a lot better as well. Will be keeping much closer watch from now on.

Three of us stayed in Bisbee at Pamela's cozy cottage. There was a bit of snow on the ground from the night before but we stayed warm inside. Pamela's home had all we needed to prepare simple meals and have a comfortable stay. It is located on Tombstone Canyon, a pleasant walk to the heart of Bisbee. We enjoyed exploring this part of town which was new to us. Her home is a short walk from the High Desert Market and Cafe. Pamela thoughtfully provided lots of brochures about things to do in Bisbee and the surrounding area. We would stay here again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Amy, please come back again!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: I emigrated from South Africa to the USA in 1978. I have lived in San Diego all this time. I am an acupuncturist and psychologist by profession. I come to Bisbee on a regular basis and volunteer my time at the free clinic offered by the Wellness Initiative in Bisbee as well as the Women's Shelter. I conduct personal classes, seminars and retreats in Bisbee. I focus a lot educating groups about alternative approaches to medicine like acupuncture, homeopathy and nutrition as well as mini stress management workshops. Let me know if you have an interested group and we can tailor a workshop around your needs.
Why the Owner Chose Bisbee:
I am truly grateful to my friend, Buckley, who pointed me in the direction of Bisbee just months before his untimely death in 2007. I was amazed to find how much I loved being in Bisbee every time I visited. Bisbee has a charm of its own. This historical mining town is a friendly and liberal community. It offers a wide variety of pleasures - everything from great hiking & fine dining to old-west saloons, mining history, Victorian architecture and world-class birding opportunities. There are a ton of trails both east and west of Bisbee maintained by the National Park Service
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My home is spacious and so centrally situated! Its an easy walk to town, right on the main road, easily accessible with no stairs to climb. There is parking right outside and a fabulous, large deck tucked away behind the front house - ideal for quiet evenings at home, or private outdoor entertaining.
The home is also ideal to serve the needs of:
- 3-generation family get away, with outdoor privacy & room for everyone.
- Private venue for spiritual and special interest groups.
- Special family event venue - private living space in the heart of Old Bisbee that visitors just love to see.
- Recent addition - guest proposed to his fiancee. She was thrilled!
-Personal or Family get away - clean, easy to maintain environment with all the amenities you need to make your stay feel like 'home away from home.
