The neighborhood is amazing. The Mississippi river runs right by the house. Boats and breeze make you feel a part of the city and its history.
Guests can roll right out bed and hit Elizabeth's for duck confit waffles and praline cooked bacon after dancing the night away at any of the neighborhood's great music venues. The neighborhood's art scene is stunning in a way that only things of New Orleans can be.
Elizabeths has been voted top brunch in America by Travel and Leisure Magazine.
You'll find great music at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, French Quarter Fest, Essence Music Fest and Voodoo Festival; exotic food specialties at the New Orleans Food and Wine Experience, Po-Boy Festival and others; and exciting celebrations our city's diverse culture at Fiesta Hispanica, St. Patrick's Day, Southern Decadence and more. We have writing and visual arts festivals commemorating our historic literary and film traditions like the annual Tennessee Williams Festival, FringeFest and the New Orleans FilmFest. And, of course, there's the biggest festival of them all – Mardi Gras, which is celebrated here like there's no tomorrow!
Satsuma is an amazing coffee and breakfast place. Bacchanal Wine garden offer a large wine garden and live jazz music. Mariza is great Creole- Italian food. One of my favs in the Bywater is Jims for sandwiches and breakfast (try the cuban).
The French Quarter is a beautiful walk or bike/bus ride away... but you wont want to leave the neighborhood.
Frenchman street is not far away and can be walked to. We also offer bike for rent.
