This deluxe yurt is decorated in a lodgy bear and moose theme and is located 1 mile south of Seaside and 3 miles north of Cannon Beach on a 5 acre peaceful wooded setting with a pond and a creek running directly beside it.
It has a full indoor bathroom with a pebble tile soaking tub,shower,vanity and toilet.Shampoo,conditioner,hand soap,towels,lotion, bath salts and toilet paper are included.
The living area has comfortable leather furniture, antler lighting and a 50 inch flat screen T.V. with VCR/DVD player and 125 movies. There are also 20 board games for young and old and lots of magazines to read. There is one king sized log bed, a full mattress and 8 camping pads with plenty of extra bedding.Tents are allowed as well.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need to cook . It has a 4 burner cooktop, large microwave,convection oven,electric skillet,crockpot,blender,hand mixer,toaster and coffee pot as well as
dinnerware,utensils,bowls,pitchers,pots and pans,etc...Coffee,tea,cocoa,spices and cooking oil are included.
Outside is a privacy fence on the backside of the yurt with a 24 foot deck and large built in propane barbecue, 2 picnic tables, 3 large coolers and a firepit with adirondack chairs.Firewood is included.
The yurt is heated with cadet heaters so it stays warm year round.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are not left in the yurt alone and are not allowed on the bedding. They must be kept on a leash or under voice command and not roam freely due to the other rental on the same property. There is no pet fee.
You are welcome to pitch a tent next to the yurt for extra guests but there will be a $10 per person, per night charge over 5 people.

My fiancé and I stayed at this yurt for two nights, and we would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a unique and top quality place to stay at a reasonable price. Jodi has really done a beautiful job decorating the place and adding special touches. Everything was top quality and we were in want of nothing. We had privacy, and the place was very warm and inviting. It's a very short drive to the beach and town, and a nice change from a hotel or house. Jodi also got back to us right away when we had any questions. This place exceeded our expectations:)Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

My husband and I recently stayed here to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary and it was perfect! Can't say a bad thing about it so romantic and a gorgeous setting. Well kept and very clean, everything you need for a good time. Could use a dresser though. We were only there for 2 days but a dresser would have helped use organize better. What a great location, a chance to hop quickly to the beach, but remove ourselves from all the hype by staying in this quiet woodsy location. Perfect for our two dogs, especially our older lab who loves to wade in water. Since we hit the high 80's while we were there that was a blessing for her, as well as a lovely sound to go to sleep to. 5 days prior to our trip, my daughter and I lost a beloved horse quickly and tragically. Although we had already planned the trip, it turned out being a form of healing for us as we came to terms with the loss. We enjoyed long walks on the beach and peaceful evenings in the yurt, cooking seafood and drinking wine. Thank you Jodi! We enjoyed a wonderful stay in this beautifully appointed yurt. The owner is readily available to answer any questions. The yurt has full amenities including a soaking tub and is nearby attractions in Seaside Oregon. A great experience and a good example of how comfortable living "green" can be.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Luxury and privacy, yet 5 minutes from the beach and town. This was my second time staying, although this time a girls trip-just mom, daughter and 9 year old granddaughter. We could have all fit into the huge tall kingsize bed but the leather couches and thick fuzzy blankets were so comfortable, we couldn't get the 9 year old to sleep anywhere but the couch even though there are other options. We stayed 2 nights during a rain/windstorm but were perfectly warm and cozy. Never lost power either, but in my hometown with a storm like that we would have. We enjoyed MANY boardgames that are organized in drawers, even crayons and blank paper. She thinks of everything for your comfort. We cooked biscuits in the convection oven and a couple other meals at the stove. Taught my granddaughter to make scrambled eggs in the nice cookware. I LOVE the copper sink in the bathroom and the large kitchen sink, plus the bathrobes. Saw a deer outside one morning. We noticed that a couple things we had brought to the owner's attention after our last stay in February were already taken care of and fixed! Jodi the homeowner shows such pride in this luxury yurt, that even though I hated to 'share' the yurt - I am certainly recommending it to friends, family & co-workers. It was a great experience and SO relaxing.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We loved our stay in the Yurt. It is very comfy, clean and beautifully furnished. Exceeded our (high) expectations. Everything from the bath tub to the furniture to the king size bed is exceptionally cozy. The kitchen is awesome too with everything you could possibly need including a nice selection of spices. Our 5 month old daughter loved the LED lights everywhere. Would highly recommend this place. We normally stay in a condo but this property is so much better as there aren't people above, below and along side you.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Stayed for 2 nights & every moment was relaxing, from the time I communicated for the reservation until the minute we left. Sounds like a broken record but everything was so well thought out, we felt like our only effort was to enjoy it. Everything I usually take to a hotel/rental unit as 'back up' in case they don't supply it, was already there and more! Thank you for such a clean, beautiful, luxurious yurt. We were thrilled when it rained so we could sleep to the sound of the rain not that it wasn't already awesome sleeping to the sound of the creek. Having the special lighting inside made it so magical. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We celebrated 37 yrs.together in the most romantic setting imaginable! We want to build one of our own to live in ! We are very impressed with the hickory wood work.The kitchen was amazing and a joy to cook in.The log bed was the most beautiful and comfortable we had ever slept on.We especially loved the lighting in the yurt.The roomy bathroom complete with large tub and a separate shower was very luxurious.We will definitely return.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About the owner: I am 47 years old and have lived at the beach my whole life. I remodeled my families old homestead above where I grew up and then built the yurt in 2007. I enjoy camping,horse backriding,country dancing,riding quads and going 4 wheeling,home improvement projects, photography and flower gardening. I did road construction in the past for 14 years, worked at the Astoria Plywood Mill for 2 years, Seaside Fitness Center for 4 years and Cannon Beach Property Management for 7 years.
Why the Owner Chose Seaside:
I didn't buy the vacation rental in this location. I purchase it from Pacific Yurts in Cottage Grove as a kit and then it was my project on my days off. The house where I grew up is above the yurt and it is now listed on VRBO as well, listing # 431861. I am very independant and motivated and always have a project to keep me busy. I wanted to make it unique and like no other yurt that I had ever seen so I decided to frame in the windows and add white pine tongue and groove throughout. The windows have lodgepole pine trim. The soaking tub,shower,vanity,kitchen backsplash and kitchen island are accented with pebble tile. It is rustic but elegant at the same time. It is a 5 minute drive to the beach in either direction and if you prefer the be in the mountains it is also just a short drive to go hiking or offroading or ride quads or horses. There is plenty of room to turn a boat trailer or horse trailer around on the property and plenty of parking. The yurt was actually up during the huge hurricane we had in 2007 with 140 mph sustained winds for 4 days and it handled it with ease. If you rent both properties together for a week I will waive the cleaning fees.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
I have a few deer that frequent the property and you can hear the sound of frogs croaking in the spring and early summer. On occasion you can hear coyotes in the fall or see raccoons and geese around the property.There are wood ducks and also a mallard and drake that come back to the pond every spring to have their babies as well as cranes and mergansers. You can view heards of elk in the field on the way into town. It is very peaceful with the sound of the creek running directly beside the yurt. There are lots of water dogs in the pond but no fish yet until I get the culvert flowing then I am hoping to get salmon,trout and koi in there. The yurt is great for quality family time since there are 17 board games, 100 movies and an outside firepit and barbecue. Guess you could call it glamping (glamorous camping).
